yes...but she's totally tweaked out or coked up in this interview....or clearly in need of a fix, whatever. We should be thankful that she survived that period of her life instead of saying how cute and quirky this is.
@koko408002 ай бұрын
@@roycegrubic2620 you don't know that, so spare us your projections...that could just be her typical, restless/nervous energy...may be a lil on the manic side according to some ppl, but imo no need to judge, and nobody cares about your judgments anyway...Chan is just being herself in this interview, as she always does, and that's why we love her

This interview is so incredibly authentic. In the realm of "interviews" I would say that this is the state of mind most are in--but editing, coaching, managers, contracts, publicists, and barbiturates keep that behavior at bay. So what does the world see?...Super glamorous interviews where people do not embrace or own their insecurities, anxieties, disorders-- further perpetuating this american "brick in the wall" phony goal of "Normal". Watching this interview was, for me, cathartic. Sober or straight, our individual "issues" never escape us. Meaning OCD, ADD, Social Anxiety, all that shit doesn't disappear with sobriety. As an artist myself, I consider my rolodex of "issues" a trampoline for creativity. I really wish interviews like this were more mainstream. I think it would allow the families watching tv at night to say "wow, that is exactly how I would be in an interview" or "omg, I would be so nervous too" RATHER than watching letterman interview some celebutante, and thinking "wow, i really need to lose weight" or "wow, I am so unaccomplished". What the fuck is so terrible about being able to relate to people? Chan is by far the bravest, most authentic human being I have yet to see. Her neurosis are the incubator to her ideas and incredibly authentic personal work. The phrase "what is wrong with him or her" assumes that there is some manufactured, perfect version of the human species. Which there is NOT.
