Ingredients:
250grm split chickpea lentils (chana dal)
(soaked for 2 hours)
1 tsp salt
½ tsp turmeric powder
2 cups of water
1 tsp cumin
4-5 cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
2 bay leaves
10-12 peppercorns
5-6 garlic buds + 1 inch ginger (crushed)
4 green chillies
2 medium sized onion
1 tsp dry Fenugreek leaves
1 medium sized Tomato
¼ tsp turmeric powder
⅓ tsp salt
1 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp kashmiri red chilli powder
½ tsp cumin powder
½ tsp garam masala
1 bunch chopped coriander
1 spoonful of oil
For Tadka :-
2 tbsp clarified butter
1 tbsp oil
½ tsp cumin
¼ tsp asafoetida
4 dry red chillies
½ tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
