Just follow these step for the perfect Chana Jor Garam at home. Top the Chana Jor Garamwith a little Lemon juice and chat masala to serve. You can also make a Chana Jor Garam Bhel with lots of veggies and chutneys added for a perfect tea time snack!

Recipe :
Chana Jor Garam
Preparation Time: 30 minutes + Soaking Time + Drying Time
Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes
Serves: 3-4
Ingredients:
250g bengal gram (kala chana)
For the Masala:
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp amchur powder
1 tsp chat masala
1 tsp black salt
Oil to fry
Method:
Soak the chana over night or for 6-8 hours.
Pressure cook the chana with a little water for 2-3 whistles.
Remove the boiled chana to a board. Flatten out the chana with the help of a rolling pin or keep a few together and press together to flatten them out.
Spread on a tray in a Single layer and dry in the sun for 3-4 hours or under a fan for 6 hours.
Fry the dried chana chips in medium hot oil till the bubbling in the pan reduces. Fry in 4 equal batches.
Remove on an absorbent paper. Sprinkle the prepared masala over the chana and toss to mix well.
Cool and store in an airtight container.

Thanks for the recipe. I tried and totally failed! The pressed, dried and then fried chana came out from hot oil came out dark colored and not fun to look at! Now watching your video I might give one more try. I used Avacado oil, do you think that might have played a role making my fried chana BLACKISH ???? Well, will post my next experience. 0:19 Making chana jor garam is extremely simple/easy. Soak the chickpeas over night. Pressure cook them. Crush them. Dry them for hours on end. Then fry them. Sure why not! So easy! SCOFF!!!!
