3 years ago I made a comment that I use this to wake up my 5 year old. Well, now she's 8 and her 8 year old cousin lives with us and I now also have a 3 year old little boy, and I wake all 3 of the kiddos up with this song every morning. It's such a beautiful way to get everyone awake on a positive note. I'm planning to have it played at my funeral as well, when I'm done growing up.

I saw them preform this live at the very last wakarusa, and man did it strike a chord in my heart. I definitely started getting misty eyed along with everyone else who was there. Of course, we were on drugs, but it was more to it than just that, author was an influential during my formative years, and this song always struck a chord with me. Hearing this version of it as an adult during what was a dark time in my life helped bring me closer to the light again.❤
