@pipoo19 күн бұрын
We were doing so well before weren’t we with a stagnant economy, £2.8 trillion in national debt and a Government that lost all credibility on the markets. As for the NI rise all it does is put it back where it was a few years ago and if employers are serious about cutting employment then it’s a good time for the Government to put a brake on skilled worker visas, employers can’t have it both ways, there can’t be a labour shortage AND job losses simultaneously…

@@chrislambert9435 The problem is that for some people are more concerned with maintaining exceptionalism, the EU is seen as a bad thing where in actuality it’s not, and the vast majority of EU citizens clearly see the benefit. In fact pooling of sovereignty for greater benefit of all is beneficial. I for one am less concerned with who makes the rules rather whether or not they logical just and are of benefit to me my family and the citizens to whom it applies. Without doubt working together with like minded countries is more beneficial and we were far stronger and more influential. The little England blinkers may make people who wear them feel smug, but it is detrimental to their interests as recent history proves. It is not coincident that Europe was ravaged with wars and working together through what became the EU reduced conflicts and maintained peaceful coexistence. The formation of the original coal and steel was deliberate, far sighted and tremendously beneficial.
