You're an amazing singer. You've got that Amy Winehousesque sound and vibe in your voice which I miss. It was a mistake to vote you off The Voice--you wouldve gotten far had there hadn't been any of those unfair/unbalanced "battle rounds" to get through...someone always has the advantage, whether it be a better part, or better song for their voice...total downside of the competition in my opinion. ~ Oh my...Allison I've gotton some heat before because Ive expressed my growing frustration with "The Voice" & it's complete failure at being able to succesfully produce a talent that would not only have the cojones of embodying the title of "THE...VOICE" but that would go on to having a significant impact in popular music. My frustration & dissapointment come in because it's not like the show has had a lack of amazing singers with incredible voices. But when the fate of advancing or winning this show is left to the public, whom I can garantee you vote with a favorite in mind (be it coach or contestant or musical genre which might not necessarily be the best) shit tends to deviate from the mission. I cant believe how many great singers are let go each season in exchange for the ones left. But that is just my opinion. Now in the case of Brittany Butler, whom I got immidiately excited for the moment I heard her...I still maintain that had she auditioned with Christina Aguilera whom is the only one with Blues, Jazz, Soul sensibilities out of the participating coaches...Brittany would have quite possibly stuck around more. What the f#@$ does Pharell, Gwen, Blake or Adam know about Jazz. And I am sorry, as much as I love Gwen, or enjoy Pharrells prowess as a producer. They have no business judging a SINGING competition. But maybe thats just me.
