The Chandler Curve Bender is my favorite mastering EQ and one of my favorite plugins. It is easy to produce the sound you are after.

@3:22. The X1.5 switch is deceiving. What you actually did was change each 'increment' of the knob rotation from 0.5 db to 1.5 db. So the first un-marked line after zero is now 1.5 db. The second line that is printed with the yellow number 1 is now 3 db, and so on and so forth up to 15 db (yellow #5). I believe it gives you the ability to have subtle corrections when you want it (x1) or more aggressive corrections when you want it (x1.5).

Nice video Ryan, I have the original Chandler Curve Bender, and sounds fantastic, specially low end. I use it every day too in Mastering. Saludos!

Very special unit. Does the fixed Q bother you when mastering?

how does the UAD version compare to the Softube native version?
@BullyMaguire4ever11 ай бұрын
It’s the same code. UAD licensed from Softube.

LOL " The Curve Bender plug-in is available exclusively from Universal Audio:" I guess exclusive means something else these days.

I was very disappointed when hearing this plugin in comparison to the hardware. I think it should have some tiny tolerance differences LR. I also can't understand why in 2020 a plugin has a non resizable GUI, especially when it's utterly small on a 2560x1440 screen. Last I can't understand why softube is charging so much money for a 4 years old plugin. But that's how it is. Without comparison it's a good plugin, having this heavy minus concerning the GUI and the price value correlation.

licensing fees I guess. they have to make X profit margins. whatever that X margin is.

So the first song sounds like a car commercial and that's definitely not a compliment. Also why would you even bother using the plugin version when you have the hardware version sitting there. The before and after plugin demos from the plugin sound almost identical....
