Synopsis :
Chandragupta admits in front of Dhananand that Dhumketu is innocent and claims himself to be the culprit behind Chanakya's escape. Dhananand ignores Chandragupta's confession as Sthoolbhadra and Indrajalik put the entire blame on Dhumketu. Chandragupta fails to prove Dhumketu's innocence. Furthermore, he is left with no choice and has to either kill Dhumketu or else Dhananand will kill Sthoolbhadra and Indrajalik. Dhumketu sacrifices his life in order to protect Chandragupta so that he can continue to fulfill the dream of 'Akhand Bharat'. Later, Chanakya requests Mura return to the palace and assures her that he will take care of Chandragupta.
चंद्रगुप्त धनानंद के सामने स्वीकार करता है कि धूमकेतु निर्दोष है और चाणक्य के भागने के पीछे खुद को अपराधी होने का दावा करता है। धनानंद ने चंद्रगुप्त की स्वीकारोक्ति को नजरअंदाज कर दिया क्योंकि स्टूलभद्र और इंद्रजालिक ने सारा दोष धूमकेतु पर डाल दिया। चंद्रगुप्त धूमकेतु की बेगुनाही साबित करने में विफल रहता है। इसके अलावा, उसके पास कोई विकल्प नहीं बचा है और उसे या तो धूमकेतु को मारना है या फिर धनानंद स्थूलभद्र और इंद्रजालिक को मार डालेगा। धूमकेतु ने चंद्रगुप्त की रक्षा के लिए अपने जीवन का बलिदान दिया ताकि वह 'अखंड भारत' के सपने को पूरा करना जारी रख सके। बाद में, चाणक्य मुरा से महल में लौटने का अनुरोध करता है और उसे आश्वासन देता है कि वह चंद्रगुप्त की देखभाल करेगा।
