For the year 2017 - 18 ISRO earned an income of 290 million USD. The cost of Chandrayan 2 is only 149 million USD. So they have not Lost any tax payers money. To find out water ice on the south lunar surfce of the moon... South surfce wont get much sunlight so there wel be excss of water.... Chandrayn 1 hve already found out there is water on moon.. But on south thy will be excss of water content.. and no other country hve landed on south lunar surfce.. So we indianz shld be proud 😍😍... This is wt i knw abt chandrayan 2 .. In a space program even 0.1 Gram of weight matters. If we had to drop a sample before the real one. It would ultimately increase total weight which will cause even more problem.

How will you slow down the descent of the sample object, let it hover over the surface of the moon for some time, choose the spot to land, decide if it is the right spot slow down even further and then make a soft landing? The steps are the same whether it is the sample object or the actual lander.

I understand all the technical difficulties. Maybe I am wrong. And I was also eagerly waiting for this precious event yesterday like you all. But something went wrong. Two mistakes in one mission surely needs to be analyzed deeper. We have a huge number of great exported brains. Finally everywhere money matters. Nowadays jobs in ISRO is challenging and it is the place only for the passionate scientists. I appreciate it. Hope this passion will continue and we will get it right there next time. And I can proudly say that i also studied in the same government school and same government aided college where Dr.Shivan studied. Thank you all:-)
