Fantastic review of the 2.55. You’re very eloquent, charming and knowledgeable. I prefer the 2.55 Chanel bag to Karl Lagerfeld’s “classic” version. The 2.55 is chic, understated, elegant, timeless and holds so much history.

What a fabulous review, Cindy! 💕 I really appreciated all the interesting history you shared behind Coco Chanel’s design inspirations - e.g., I hadn’t known the 2.55 was essentially the first shoulder bag! I have the 2.55 reissue mini in black with aged gold hardware, which I cherish even though it’s not the original double flap. I reach for it a lot because it’s so versatile, lightweight, and easy to wear. I think Chanel must have performed some magic on the chain straps 😁 - it’s amazing how comfortable they are, even on bare shoulders!

I once was offered a mini 2.55 so black at the start of the year at the boutique, but didn’t take it, I still kick myself for it till this day☹️ the aged gold hardware is the most classic though, and it doesn’t get scratched easily. Yeah I also mentioned the chain in the video, it’s just so beautiful and comfortable, Coco is a real design genius 😊

Hi Eva, thanks for coming by😊🤗 I have always prefer the 2.55, because it’s the original, and it’s more understated, doesn’t scream Chanel 😁 also it’s more lightweight, easy to wear and the chain length is perfect for both shoulder and crossbody wear. I believe in sustainable fashion. It is heartbreak seeing perfectly new bags being unloved and discarded just because someone wants an upgrade.
