I finally put my store credit from the 20A Chanel mini gold reissue to good use!
If you follow my instagram stories, I showcased the Chanel 20B iridescent white or mother of pearl classic medium flap. I ended up passing on it for a few reasons which I'll discuss here. Also why I turned down the small Chanel 19 bag.

I am in AWE. What a BEAUTY! I adore the mini coco handle, I have 3,:one of which is the 19K iridescent white chevron with silver hardware. I am very pleasantly surprised how well I can fit a white bag in my wardrobe. It has been much easier to style for me than my beige classic flap.

The coco handle in the iridescent white shade is beautiful and versatile. You can put in a bag insert inside to protect the fabric.The 19C chain is gappy, I am not convinced with the quality. The pearl flap bag is stunning, however, I can’t see it working in the daytime, which put me off.

therealshakeen I have purchased a few from Amazon and they have been fine so far. I am not particular about the inserts I just tend to get them so I protect the inside of the bags or give shape to ones that are slouchy.

I am SO glad you netted out at this bag!! This feels very right! I love it with your chiffon skirt too 🤗 I actually totally forgot that your husband dislikes the coco handle lol. Does he like this one at least? It’s breathtaking! Also I love what your friend (Diarentes?) said about not nitpicking and finding reasons to not buy the item if you love it. I’m going to use that going forward. When I got the nano speedy and pochette accessoires, I didn’t even pick them up to inspect them. I told the SAs they could just wrap them up 😂

I love classic flaps, but yes they aren't for everyone. I have a mini coco handle and I have not used it yet. The price point is attractive. Although, I recommend getting the Trendy CC. It's full leather inside and the bag is very comfortable to wear. It goes from day to night and is not very heavy. Check out the review I did!

Yes. The trendy cc underwent a recent “currency adjustment” (so unofficial price increase) to match what Europe is charging. I believe now it is just under $7000. So definitely a difference. But, the coco handle in the small size is actually great as well. For some reason I was thinking of the mini size. But the small is also a great option cause it’s like a classic flap, but with a top handle. It’s fabric lined now, so not full leather. And it’s caviar, so if you’re nervous about lambskin then caviar is a bit better.

I also dislike the coco handle because the stiff handle make it look granny-ish, but you maks a great choice with the smaller size and lighter color, totally gives a younger but still feminine vibe! Also what happen if what you buy with the store credit it cheaper bag? Did they keep the rest of the credit?

Hi I was wondering how you scored to get the coco handle? I'm based in Canada as well and I have been looking for the mini/small for over a year now. Do SAs only contact their clients that have a long history with Chanel? Also I was wondering if I could have your SA contact information (if possible) I visit Toronto quite often! Also, do you know if there are other colours coming into Canada?

It was sheer luck. Yes, it helps if you have a long history with a lot of purchases. However, that being said it comes down to luck. Certain hard to find seasonal pieces are limited and only a handful may or may not come into boutique. The SAs actually are part of a lottery - if their name gets drawn, they can sell that bag to their clients. So the SA may really want to sell to you, but can't because either the boutique didn't get the item or they didn't get picked in the lottery. But no need to stress about this - there are so many beautiful items that come back every season.

I'm so glad they honored the store credit! I'm also sometime who doesn't like bringing things back, but if an item really doesn't work, it doesn't work. Excellent point from your friend about finding flaws if you're unsure. So glad you ended up with your Coco handle. It's gorgeous!

Thank you so much!! Yes, this is the regular mini size. I think they call it small as well depending on where you live. I have not seen the extra mini size but I'd assume it is very very small lol. Oh wow! Yes, I know a few people who got the woc. It is stunning! I would have been too apprehensive to use it in the large size - but I think the woc is such a good size - small enough so it is easier to keep it safe.

Congrats! I think you made a right choice as the Coco Handle suits you more than the 19 although, opinion wise, I am with your husband. I got a light beige 19 and it's so nice to the touch and more user friendly than Coco Handle in my view. Maybe second time will be the charm.

Yes you are right, it is so nice to touch - very smushy! I'm a shoulder bag girl and the strap slides off my shoulder. I knew that would make the bag harder for me to wear. But yes, it is definitely a fashion forward bag - but I don't think I can pull it off!

Congrats gorgeous handbag! I am glad to know that I wasn’t the only one who turned down the white iridescent. However, I am waiting for the other iridescent color mini as it would be my first LAMBSKIN and colored bag in my collection 😬. As per the Chanel 19, I recently got it in black and I still have not used it. Funny enough my husband thinks the same thing, that it’s a cool looking bag, different from all classics and mini bags I have;). Thank you, my friend! The good news is that the strap is detachable and one could add a different strap. I prefer bags to worn over one shoulder, but yes, cross body could work. I think with the coco handle, the stiff handle would probably dig into my abdomen if worn cross body. Lets see!

@@therealshakeen You're welcome : ). It's true that the strap could be switched with another one but I like the Chanel chain strap it comes with. I guess I would have to look on Etsy for a similar strap if I saw a colour way I liked but it would have to get a match. I'll keep in mind, thanks! With me the top handle was digging into my ribs/abdomen worn crossbody and I'm about 5' but everyone's body is different.
