Dude, we’re in the same team. Allure home is a criminally underrated scent and deserves more respect. And I’m not saying eau extreme is a bad fragrance, but for me men’s hype on extreme comes from how much the ladies like it. Personally prefer to wear fragrances that boost my confidence over the ones that please people around me but not myself. Thumbs up from Chile!

Spot on review. I feel the same way with Eau Extrême. The OG Allure Homme is completely slept on and is the best of the line. Pure class, sophisticated and understated.

Good review. This was my first Chanel purchase, way back in 1999 when it was released. It was a potent EDT back then. It's been reformulated,but I think it's still relevant today. That peach note in the opening is so good. However, I think it's the dry down when this fragrance blossoms. I like the fact that it's under the radar. It lasts for most of the day in my experience. I think it's a masterpiece.

Bought one today... guy said he bought it in 2008... it's a plastic 50mL travel bottle I think... finding it challenging... dry down is OK... fake, not fake? I dunno

I went to sample AHS eau extreme for the first time, didnt like it. But because of the hype generated by the community and influencers, I decided to go and sample it one more time in a few months, still not my cup of tea. Guess I’m not the only one

I love Eau Extreme but I Also have massive love for this one, I wish it pushed a little bit further. I will try buying the shave balm and see if that helps it to perform better.

This is not the best for hot summer days i have been having a bottle of this for the last 10 years. the creamy spicy ambery tones make it challenging in the heat. but all other seasons it's perfect. can work summer nights though if it's a cooler night

This has been a favorite of mine since it first came out, but yeah, I recently wore it on an unexpectedly hot day, and it just came off as really cloying. I just got Extreme and find it works better in the heat, but also have Blanche and it's easily the best on hot days.

@@TopDownDC yh it can be tough to wear in the heat unlike all the other allure especially the sport range the original is mainly for cooler months and a bit more sophisticated so does better job for events and going out. also not as popular these days so u have the unique aspect

Great review... i find CHANEL overrated most of the time. Don't get me wrong the House has its stars in their stable and of course historically speaking some major contributions. Allure Homme is a work of art but i speak of vintage juice. It is a shame what CHANEL did to this fragrance. FYI Pour Monseiur released in 1955.

I agree with u. First scents are beasts. Allure period from 1999 to 2010 made a line about aquatic summer scents. It is something completely different from what they did before. Pour monsieur is a dandy style, antaeus is 80s, égoïste is romantically grunge, platinum... Well platinum is an alien for me. Absolute masterpiece and very modern til now. Si when u think about it, chanel did some really nice signatures, very different and going with the hype. Pour monsieur is a 50s scent, antaeus is 80s, égoïste and platinum are 90s and allure is the wave is 00's. Honestly it is interesting without being the most amazing fragrances lines. Anyway, all in all, you don't have a lot of fragranceq for men in chanel house. Pour monsieur, antaeus, égoïste, platinum, allure (4 versions) and bleu. Each of the fragrance gives an overview different from it's time. It is a timeless testimony of each period from the last decades.
