I love the EDT version! I didn’t bother trying the edp because of the rose note. The EDT is a great everyday perfume and when your bottle gets empty you can refill it at the Chanel store which is a plus for me 🙂

I have both versions of the Chance tendre. I spray the EDP in the morning and then later the EDT travel version in my purse. I do like the EDT version a tad bit more, but it's just personal preference. I'm loving the Chanel Chance green version alot! Something about it that is unique and fresh. Also have No 5 Lau and find that fragrance to be my favorite of the Chanel line. I have the Chance EDT, Chance body lotion, Coco Mademoiselle, and Gabrielle Essence too . Just love the Chanel line of fragrance.

What a great review this has been my sig scent for YEARS, I still get daily compliments on it- BUT- I’m going to totally try to grab the EDT next time to see if I can smell those middle jasmine notes more ! I absolutely LOVE jasmine - but not as a top note. Thank you so much!!

And I completely agree on the rose note being a bit strong on the dry down with the EDP. Funny how your scent “likes” change as you age- because I HATED rose for years, probably because it reminded me as old lady. 😂 Growing up, My great aunt used to wear an oriental rose perfume- and it made me want to 🤮. So rose was NOT a favorite of mine- but I’m starting to get “more ok” with a LITTLE bit of rose -just not as a primary note …

I have both as well, and I find that I really enjoy the EDP when I layer it with the EDT. I also layer the EDP over the body lotion which is the EDT version.

Eau Tendre is such a Pretty fresh scent .Reminds me of Spring. I find most of Chanel’s scents particularly beautiful but I can only handle them in small amounts due to my sensitivities. I have Entre perfume Crayon & cans of the Entendre Moisture Mist spray which is so refreshing & light for summer. I have the Eau Vive EDP which is zesty Blood Orange which is lovely but quite strong on me.

I also bought the EDP by mistake. It smelled very masculine on me AND my daughter. We’re both huge perfume collectors, usually if one of us doesn’t like a perfume, the other appreciates/likes it. We both said it smelled like a “men’s cologne that was old/had gone off.” I returned it. We both like and prefer the EDT.

I remember the EDT came out first and that is the one I have loved for yrs. I bought the EDP and was like this is not the scent I fell in love with. So I got to sniff the EDT. Had my fiancé buy me the full bottle for my wedding day. Out of all the scents that I own that is the one that walked me down the isle in the Spring. Put a decant in my wedding dress pocket and kept reapplying. Will you do Versace Yellow Diamond EDT vs EDP. Bright Crystal EDT vs EDP? Keep up the good work!!!

Thanks for your breakdown, I have been on the fence with this fragrance for years. If I decide to get off the fence I would probably go with the EDP. I need longevity. I spray heavy so I want the fragrance to last. 😊

Awesome comparison video. Before i knew anything about fragrances, my friend wore this and i had to have a bottle. I purchased the EDT. Someone hugged me and said “The way you smell, someone is gonna pay your mortgage “ 😂 With that said i always kept this in my collection. last year i picked up the EDP by mistake…. not knowing there was an EDP and i felt like something was wrong with my bottle. Not knowing i purchased the WDP by mistake. I only knew by looking at the tops. i quickly gave my EDP to my daughter and purchased my edt. They both smell very similar however that one lil difference makes me only want the EDT. This lasts on me all day… especially on clothes. i can smell it the next day on clothes. i have also given the EDT to friends as gifts. It’s just that nice. i haven’t tried any other line from Chanel. Just the Chance Eu tendre.

I have the edt and I really like it BUT I don't reach for it that often because it isn't long lasting. I can't take the bottle with me to work to top up because I have a scent-sensitive coworker. That said, I will always have it in my collection, my husband got it for me and it's effortlessly chic and beautiful.

I can’t lie, this is one of the prettiest fragrances I’ve ever smelled. In fact, Chance is the reason I realized I like/love fresh florals. The reason I had to return it was the staying power. For the price of $130. I could have easily used a whole 3.4 fl oz in a month & to me, it wasn’t worth it. The SA @ Sephora’s said that is one of the perfumes that has a high return sales due to lack of longevity but it is one of the best sellers as well. Btw, I did have the EDT (which Amy explained perfectly!! That iris does something magical to this fragrance.) Back then I didn’t know how to make fragrances last on my skin (I’d spray on my non exfoliated/moisturized skin) but now that I do, I would probably rebuy it bc it smells so damn good!! Again, Amy you did a great describing the difference of both fragrances. You have a way of explaining and putting it into words that I wouldn’t know how to do. Have a great day 😊

I was too worried about getting eau tendre so I just got eau vive edt instead because I heard it was more girly and fruity. I love eau vive edt but now I think I'd enjoy eau tendre edt! Thanks for this review.

Eau vive was the first one I got from the Chance line and I actually find that one a little more citrusy and woody with a hint of spice in it.. it’s girly but I definitely think the way tendre is the girliest of them all, I just picture pink everything with that one 😆

See for me, it’s the complete opposite. I actually feel the EDT is a little more floral smelling & the EDP has a tiny more lighter/soft scent with a nice sweetness to it. I love both, but I smell more floral notes in the EDT. Sooo weird lol! Literally everything u said I agree with just vice versa on the 2 bottles 😩 I wish Chanel just made things less confusing & gave all of them completely different names, colors, bottle designs etc lol. (And this is just on 2 of the same named & colored Chanel perfumes but still have their differences not to mention there’s still MORE Chance by Chanel 😩 Overall, they’re both heavenly! I layer the edt Eau Tendre with a hydrating mist and the scent lasts all day . I don’t know if they still make the mist but think the lotion would work as well . Just love it !

I have eau tendre, fraiche, and vive all EDT and I like All of them in this order. They actually last long on me, i can smell them the next morning. I just need to wear them more often, i do remember getting a compliment in the store with the tendre edt.

Great video! Yes I hope I am able to purchase the edt because it just seemed more fun, flirty and addictive. I think I appreciated the amber in it too. However, I have an almost full bottle of the edp so I may have to learn the best layering combo to get the best out of it.

I love both, I own both. EDT has a little bit of a powdery note, and the EDP has a sweet rose and you will feel like it’s a creamy scent, because of the mix of jasmine , sweet rose and musk.

To me they are not the same scent. Similar, yes, but not the same. I wore each for a couple of days and enjoyed the EDT more, so that what I got. I’m very happy with it.

Bulgarian Rose and Turkish rose are the same very specific type of rose - Damascena Rose. It's only pink in color and it does differ from regular rose. Differences between would be only due to the geographical and climatic conditions. Bulgarian Rose oil seems to continue being the better quality one, but the European Union has almost killed the rose oil " industry" with ridiculous bans and regulations while the Turkish rose seems to be having a moment due to the wave of Arabian perfumes where such regulations are considered unwarranted and stupid. Arabian perfumes are doing so well these days almost better than some established and niche houses...

i have the edt. shelf life is 4-5yrs. after that it smells different and when you spray it on your skin it only lasts a couple of minutes

It’s not . Miracle has a sharp spicy kick with the ginger and it’s quite floral … eau tendre is smoother , à fresh floral too but a bit fruitier and softer overall. You might find it boring compared to Miracle

I bought the eau tendre and ended up returning it because I just could not smell it on me! Is it possible to have such a weird body chemistry that perfumes tend to disappear? I can wear VS Heavenly and smell it on me all day long but not chanel. And for the price, I couldn’t justify keeping it but it does smell absolutely Devine! I am so sad it didn’t work for me.
