With all these fake Chanel bags that look real the only way I am going to buy a preloved Chanel bag from a consignment (even if authenticated) is if it is a vintage one that is 24 carat gold plated as those ones stand out. I have 2 of those and there are features on the chain and parts of the bags that show it is real . I bought a fake Dior Saddle bag unknowingly and don't want to ever fall prey again:)

They are not all rectangular. I guess you would expect the same handbag to come in the same box. In the preloved market sometimes too they may end up using a different box than what the bag originally came in…. Not always. I got one that was originally a shoe box lol
