The thing of it is, lamb skin and calfskin are equally cruel. The dairy and meat industry aren’t simply cows grazing in a field. Calfs and lambs are cruelly separated from their mothers and killed for their meat and their very prized skin. The mother also suffers emotionally as a result. Some pregnant cows are killed and their featus skin is used for some types of supple leather. Exotic skins and regular average animal hides are equally cruel. So don’t think one thing is better than the other. In the end, it’s your choice and your preference. And Amy, I hope you don’t simply delete my comments, these are facts and I’m stating my opinion. I don’t mean to make anyone feel guilty about their vanity, I’m just educating some people on the cruelty of the leather industry.

I am not into buying exotic leather for animal cruelty reasons (the way exotics are „harvested“ is horrific for Many of the species like lizards) but that handle is stunning. Amazing look for the bag in that sense I really prefer your beautiful Saphire bag of the two stunning look !

Well caviar leather is the leather of murdered calfs, birthed for their skin, meat, veal and separate from their mothers at a very young age. Lol, they’re both cruel and disgusting.

Nora there S a fundamental difference - at least in developed countries there are regulations for numbing and quickly killing the animal (safe ritual slaughter that is protected by constitutional rights). It does not make it “uncruel” but skinning an animal alive because it cannot be numbed like a lizard that s a different level of cruelty.

They're now making a faux exotic handle coco handle (which for ethical reasons I much prefer). Both of your bags are gorgeous! How do you store your bags? I'm so afraid of the corners caving in....

Just sitting upright. I have had my Coco handles since November and no issues with corners caving in. I think the this size is not as prone to sagging like the larger sizes do.

OMG. I love your blue coco. I was at Chanel store last week looking for a pale pink colour. They didn’t have it. They showed me the hot pink and black. The black wasn’t so bad, I would have got it that day if the inside was all leather and the price was the same. Apparently, the black colour was $1000 more and it wasn’t event all leather inside. Anyway, now I want a blue colour with all leather like yours. I’ll keep looking. 👍🏻 thanks for sharing

Yes, I absolutely love my light gray coco handle and if you watch my more recent videos, you'll see that it made it into my top 10 bags list. I don't use the coco handle often as it more of a dressy bag but of all my cocos, the light gray is my favorite!

If I had to choose one first, I'd still go with the mini rectangle. It's easier to access, full leather and timeless but does fit a bit less.

It's depends on the season as coco handles are all seasonal bags. I have never seen a pink handle white bag though.

Yes it does crease a bit on my gray one. I wouldn't worry too much about it as the leather softens over time.

How do you get video of yourself trying on the bags in the boutique without SAs on your back? Whenever I go, they don’t leave me alone and I get all shy to take pictures and look at myself in the mirror for long. Lol. When I go to YSL, I can easily say, “excuse me while I check myself in the mirror.” Then they leave me alone 🤷🏻‍♀️

It's not always possible to have privacy at Chanel but when the store is not as busy, I do tend to prefer that specific corner to look over things I want to buy. I guess my SA knows me well enough not to be all over me 😉
