This was not a sad review. This was a positive review with a hopeful ending. You chose to see the sadness but others see hope. Its all very relative to one’s own projections onto others. I was watching live when you did this review and was blown away. I am watching again this morning, and just as engaged. Your passion and love for perfume, for story, for history, and for MOMS! is palpable. I was at home while my twin sons and hubby were taking a special trip together in Greece for their birthday. The connection with No.5 was mind blowing. Thank you. Fabulous review and just adore the greek mythology you describe....so many of us in our relationship past can identify with Clytie sadly. It's a tough lesson to not just fall for power and aesthetics!. I bought Comete and like it but less is more...as it is very intense and can be headache inducing...but lightly sprayed I LOVE it! I do think though the opening notes are a more sparkly No5...the dry down is very powdery and musky like No 5....so I honestly believe if you are not a No.5 fan...you won't appreciate Comete. As a devoted 'green' Chanel perfume lover, No.19 and Biarritz being favourites....I still enjoy the warm hug that Comete provides.
