I had both - sold Coromandel. While not identical, the quality of Richwood is just greater with more depth. It smells more expensive.

I have richwood despite having a rather prominent rose note I find it more masculine it is definitely medicinal as you mentioned but once it is dried it sweetens up beautifully without being sugary. I love it. It is however not a playful scent and pretty much demands being dressed up. Wish I had more places to go requiring a suit and tie. I find coromandel a bit more balanced and sweeter. I have a large 15 ml sample and even though I’d wear it I personally find it more appealing on a woman. Both are amazing. Next maybe a side by side of Chanel boy and J scent sumo wrestler. I think that would be a great compare and contrast bud to watch. I own both by the way. Thanks Sebastian love the video.

Prices went up on coromandel. Just bought a back up last week and it was $450 plus tax. I own both of these and both are great but for me richwood is a way better performer so i usually go with that when i want to be noticed. Coromandel is more of a cozy scent to cuddle up with or for work is a great one when you don't want to fill up the office.

Richwood for me. Love it. Top 5 for life for me. Coromandel goes a like bit grandma on me and I dont get much white chocolate unfortunately.

I have the EDT and...well, IMO, the EDP, while still a great fragrance, cannot hold a candle to the EDT. The EDT just smells richer and more full-bodied and lasts all day and all night. I've actually sampled Richwood two or three times...and I've come very close to order a bottle because it's an excellent fragrance. Honestly, like you mentioned, it's a toss-up between Coromandel EDP and Richwood depending on one's mood and/or preferences. However, I'd take Coromandel EDT anyway over the aforementioned. The EDT is just at another hall of fame level IMO. Very nice discussion topic. Cheers!

I was able to snag Richwood from a discounter for a really good price, and with Chanel’s control to stay out of the grey market, the only way I’ll be purchasing a bottle is at full retail (so expensive!) For now I’ll keep my eyes peeled in the FB groups.

I haven’t tried Richwood, but I love Coromandel. I opted for the parfum rather than the eau de parfum in this one though. The extraits stay more intimate and do not project as much. I wear it primarily for me and don’t want everyone around me to be hit by my fragrance. Especially since Coromandel smells like it belongs on a different kind of person than my outward appearance and personality. The parfum is slightly softer for me. I think most people will prefer to wear the eau de parfum though because most people want more lift in their fragrances. Both version are beautiful. I was never a patchouli woman but Chanel’s patchouli seems to beat all! It is less earthy and more ethereal as I experience it anyway.

I have bottles of both with backup bottles as well and for me richwood is superior. More elegant take on the scent profile. Coromandel is dirty patchouli with more resins and benzoin. Richwood is a smoother sandalwood, rose, and patchouli. Luxury compared to Coromandel

Richwood is my favorite perfume. I will get a sample of choramendel. The sandalwood and patchouli combo is what I love. I got mine from an online dus outer for way less than msrp. I think about 350 for 100ml.

I havent been able to sample Coromandel so I have the dupe China Affair which I love. Today I opened my newest purchase Bianchi's Sticky Fingers and there is definitely a similarity. What a gorgeous scent. I might be hooked on Francesca's house, loving her Sex and the Sea also.

I have Richwood but not Coromondel. Richwood doesn’t smell medicinal on my skin, at all. ıt’s warm, rich, creamy with balanced sweetness to it. I actually find it almost identical to “Perris Montecarlo - Essence de Patchouli”.

Coromandel, of course! Masterpiece, elegant and classy, beautiful perfume. I have both, at first they are really a bit similar, later as they develop they are two completely different perfumes. I prefer Coromandel, one of my favorite perfumes of all times. Coromandel is stronger on me and has a much better projection. And I always get compliments 🙂

I never saw 30ml. They have a set of 7.5ml bottles. Never 30ml! But I personally cannot guarantee. You must contact Amouage to find out but me never saw the 30ml bottles version.
