I totally agree with everything you said. It was almost impossible to fill Karl's shoes. No one will ever be able to do what he did for Chanel. I have an amazing SA at Chanel so have had great experiences but have had frustrations elsewhere so I do agree also on customer service but will say that has happened for many years at LV and Hermes until I found great SA's so I think it's a luck of the draw with designer boutiques and locations. I actually went to look at that burgundy tote with the smaller attachment and they said they didn't have it yet and weren't sure they would be getting it near me but that one I really love right now. I do agree some bags are not on my list but others I can say would be great to add. I am looking at possibly adding burgundy (not big on red bags) or a lilac because I do feel those can be worn year round depending on what you are styling them with. Great video!

I will say he showed me a WOC in the color/leather to get an idea and it was pretty stunning. Definitely could make it a perfect everyday style with neutrals to add that pop of color!

Such an excellent, kind and well thought out perspective on what’s going on with Chanel and the difficult situation Virginie was put in. I wasn’t a huge fan but also realized she was put in a no win situation like you said. Karl was the only Chanel most of us knew and basically revived a dying brand. He WAS Chanel, how does anyone follow that?!

Really interesting discussion! No matter who Chanel chooses as a replacement, if they don’t address their quality, price and customer service issues, who needs them? I really like the overall look of the bag with the purple flowers and tea set. While I understand not being a big fan of the tea set elements, I think that it really adds to the overall look of the bag. I suggest that you don’t pick it apart. Just appreciate it for how pretty and sweet it is as a whole!

Hey :) I am the most sadden that Virginie Viard is leaving Chanel. In my opinion she was really focalizing on the "Art of Making" rather than on the "Art of Producing". However, she did not left by choice. I have several friends working in Chanel (as assistant, or collaborator with Virgine Viard). And when we met over some drinks, they told me that NOBODY knew the news before hand. Virginie did not left by choice and couldnt explain the decision of the CEOs of Chanel. Well she did wanted to get retired at 62 years old, but not now. Of course my infos are to take with precautions because I have the infos only though friendly chitchat and her team would never tell me (as an outsider) everything that is happening at Chanel. I wish Virginie all the best for her

People have been very negative about her work in forums, comments on Chanel's social media, comments on fashion commentator social media sites, etc. Basically everyone hated her work. That is the reason she is leaving. I am glad Chanel is going in a new direction. Hedi Slimane for Chanel rumors have been around 2 months before Virginie left. I think he is the next creative director.

The teatime sequined mini is exquisite! I would love to buy it if it were not like $20k. For the tweed bags, the fuchsia / purple tweed you don’t like is actually a special Lesage Tweed and I think it’s so much more worth the money than the other plain or fantasy tweeds that are machine woven, but taste is very personal/subjective 😂

I really like the lavender bag with the blue top handle. I love, love the bag with the tea pots and pastries. I inquired about it immediately when it was on the runway. Personally, as someone who hosts often, loves romantic fashion.. bridgerton and all that.. I’ve never seen a bag that felt more me. However, my SA had confirmed with me the bag is 31.5k USD. And it’s a hard pass for me. I will admire it from afar.
