Thank you for the review. I don't think many of us ever actually realize the pro and con of the bag until actually using it. I notice the same thing with some other Dior bags as well that the hardware will leave some mark on the leather. But nonetheless, they are still always beautiful 😆

Love your review. The DJoy is super cute and I love the versatility. If the Chanel mini keeps going up in price that will limit the number of people who choose to purchase it in the future.

I needed this video! I’m looking for an evening bag for a wedding I’m attending that’s classy but also versatile after the wedding. I’m stuck between these two & a few other options. Will definitely have both soon tho 😂😂

I recently got the micro d-joy in the same color and I love how cute it is but also very very delicate! I remember after the first wear, I noticed a long scratch across the O charm hardware and I was so sad since it was basically brand new. After a few more wears, I noticed a small dot of leather scratched off and the leather on the handle does get dirty quite easily. Nevertheless, I still love it and I try not to have to baby my purses. I've learned to just not inspect it too closely after each wear 😆

Yes, turning a blind eye is the easiest way to find peace when using your bags 😂😂 but at the end of the day, a well used bag is a well loved bag so signs of wear are okay!! 💕 thanks for sharing your experience with your own djoy 🥰

Great review. My favorite is the D Joy. I have a micro d joy and ❤️ the look and versatility of the bag, but it is a bit small for daily essentials. So I will be purchasing a small as well.

I actually purchased the micro djoy once HAHA but ended up immediately returning as it wasn’t practical enough for me 🥹🥹 but it was so dang cute!! What color will you get the small djoy in?

I know!! The bags were actually affordable when they first launched. After that first year the price hike increase was crazy!! Each bag went up over $1000

Yes! I think the small size is the perfect evening bag! Actually about 6 months ago I bought the micro size and ended up returning it because it was just tooooo tiny! Adorable but just very impractical, and for the price it didn’t really make sense. I’m completely in love with the small! It’s still a mini bag so can be easily dressed up for a night out via just carrying it top handle or the shoulder strap, but can also be cute and casual with the crossbody strap for everyday wear! Hope this helps 🥰

I’ve been eyeing a vintage square flap from Chanel! But the mini size is so cute!! I no longer have a black bag in my collection so I have to add a new one. Do you prefer the base shaper to an organizer? I’m obsessed with the mitzah tied to the djoy. Did you tie it yourself? I want to tie one on mine!

I actually prefer a base shaped in these bags particularly! Especially in terms on the djoy, because it has a flap that tucks in, if there’s an insert inside the bag the flap doesn’t like to close all the way properly bc it can get caught on the front wall of the insert (I bought an insert to try but didn’t end up using it bc of this). Generally though I’ve seen some pretty beat Chanel flaps and lady diors on the resell market 😭 and I definitely don’t want my bags looking like that later down the line so a base shaper is a must for me!! 😌 The mitzah I had my dior SA tie it for me!! They’re tied differently than my Hermes ones so I didn’t know how to do it on my own 😂 I was planning on watching my SA tie it so I could learn and share with yall but he just went to the back and tied it secretly 😫 so I would just take your bag into a boutique to have someone tie it for you!

Thank you for this video. I'm planning to get my first Dior bag, however I cannot decide which line of bag should I buy, lady dior or djoy... And like you, I like the color white so much but for the first bag I'm not so sure. Do you think getting the black or pink one is more sufficient? Anw I like your style a lot

If you have a more casual vibe, the the djoy is better imo! If you like to dress up more than the lady dior may be more suitable 🥰 I personally love whote but if you are afraid of wear and tear then a black bag would be just as elegant and chic! Pink is so cute as well; esp the new powder pink color!

I think all lambskin bags are a bit delicate and you’ll need to be careful about color transfer-black of course would be the most carefree bag but as long as you’re careful with your lighter colored bags I think they’ll be fine! So far no issue with color transfer on my latte djoy, but I’m careful to not wear it with clothes that would be likely to do so!

I have a d-joy in sand colour and I also use it very carefully. And to my surprise the leather on the handle got scratched off only after 1/2 time use. Although it’s a tiny dot got scratched off, it’s not a cheap bag and the leather quality is so fragile😵‍💫. I will thick twice for my next Dior bag purchase😓

Yes the bags are definitely not cheap 😫😫 and I was also a bit surprised how delicate the leather can be! I was comparing my Chanel lambskin with my dior lambskin and it even seems like dior lambskin is more porous than Chanel lambskin which may make it more sensitive to damage. But I definitely recommend wrapping your handles in a twilly to protect them from further scratches!
