This happened to me. Years ago. We were friends for about four months, we kissed once, we were in seminary class together. He gave me alot of mixed signals. A LEADER of the church said he was my husband... I was so immature in Christ. This was 9 years ago. I was so confused. But, God is not an author of confusion, even bought a wedding dress. Smh. I told him I loved him and he pulled back...I snapped out of it after my sister said, a man who loves you wouldn't confuse you. Now, I'm married and healed from this devastation...I heard someone say that your idols speak clearly to you and you think it's God. I idolized getting married. I totally get it. Been there and learned so much 💯🙌🏾

Years ago a lady from my church was 100% sure a man was her husband. They were dating but That man chose another woman who he admitted he didn’t seek God to see if she was the right one..she was just the woman he wanted. I personally believe if God tells you a man is your husband God will also tell that man. And that man will lead the relationship. But we also have free will. That man can decide to not choose you even if God presents a specific woman to him. The lady I knew was so heartbroken when that man proposed to another lady. It was heartbreaking to see her pain. But maybe a year later she met an awesome man who she married a year later. 20 years later they are still married.

🎯 good decernment is maybe even more important for believers to develop. But what satan meant for our harm, God... you know the rest. This woman has the attention of women who are actively being deceived and toyed with in this same way by satan. May they be delivered by her testimony 🙏🏾 ❤
@kalandriawalters934Ай бұрын
@richardsnipe2471 i thought about this for some time... what if he tested her to see if she had high standards, healthy boundaries, and self-control? A pastor and man of God would definitely need his wife to have those qualities to support him in ministry. I thought about a workaround for how to respond in the given situation: Take a piece of paper and write the name of the person who dared you to kiss them and kiss their name on the paper. It keeps you in the game while respecting healthy boundaries. He probably could not pursue her if her boundaries were not healthy at the time and instead chose another woman to pursue. I think about... what if she had not kissed him and slept in the room with her friend instead? But still showed interest in him in healthier ways from the beginning. I say this from a place of experience. A similar thing happened to me when I was a church involved teenager, and a young man in the church began to pursue me. One late evening, he and his friends were taking an innocent joy ride and looking for something interesting to do. I suggested they come to my place while my parent was away that night working. They came over, and it turned into a game of truth or dare. I was dared to sit in his lap and kiss him. I did it because at that time, I did not have healthy boundaries and standards and didn't even know what it was to have that. I just had a heart for God. Needless to say, he quickly lost interest in me after that night. Without telling me he was no longer interested, he began to pursue another young lady new to our church right in front of me. I figured it out. So I hope God fearing women with low standards and unhealthy boundaries will take note and work on it to pass these type of tests before they miss out on their Boaz. 😉

Obviously Chanel has both father and mother fractures. She suffers from rejection and abandonment issues and devalues her self worth and value. That’s why it was so easy for her to make such severe bad decisions. Chanel needs extensive therapy with a professional therapist and/or psychiatrist. She’s trying to mass her deep pain and trauma by her jovial behavior. Chanel alluded to such pain, trauma, rejection, abandonment, and parental fractures when discussing her mother, who appears to be verbally abusive and emotionally unintelligent. Chanel needs to view the podcast Hardly Initiated with host Tyesean and Ryan Catchings’ interviews of Pastors Creflo Dollar, and Joel Tudman, and Bishop Henry Fernandez.

Despite what many people think, this episode was fantastic. The majority of women would never publicly admit that they have felt this way about a man. I adored the healing process, accountability, and openness. I will keep my disagreement with one issue to myself in order to make my response as constructive as possible.

Great book by the way! I kinda feel the same way. I've been married but single for 19 years. No sex for 10, then 9. While I am content, I do desire to be married. But I don't have time to do a whole bunch of teaching. Somethings you gonna have to already know. I'm just realizing that I've had more years of not having sex, then did having sex. This is wild!

This story is amazing since both God and the man never made any push, commitments, or shared any vision regarding marriage. This testimony is a good example of the Scripture that says we are tested based on what is already inside of us. Thank you for being vulnerable. It has blessed me. I remember deeply liking a man, and someone suggested that we should go to the church he went to. I knew that was not counsel from God, so I didn't give into it. Although I did attend a class at the church with the hopes that I would see him. Praise God, I didn't! I remember a man telling me: "If a man wants you, he will drive from here (Brooklyn) to Connecticut to get you." That statement has been my standard of gauging how much a man cares for me. My sister, may you heal fully from this experience. May the Lord also bring you "him" that will love you truly.

Another great podcast. I loved her transparency and willingness to admit that she ‘manipulated the word of God to fit what she wanted’. She was willing to suffer and lose it and she did! She gained so much more though once she came to the end of herself. Now her place of pain is a safe space for others 🙌🏾 I felt that when she said ‘her father told her it was too painful to watch her go through this’ I know without a shadow of doubt that my sting and suffering has given me stamina. I will be able to bless so many other women because of it. Beyond grateful 👏🏾

Lesson for me here: Satan's deception runs so deep, flee idolatry, and how far the Lord's grace and love extends to us. He is truly NOT like man.😊 Years ago, I went to the funeral of a woman who fell in love with her pastor. He married someone else, had children, and she became their nanny. She suffered from fibromyalgia and passed away while "working" in the church. The pastor she was in love with eulogized her as a great "laborer" of God. That was the first time I left a funeral early out of disgust.

I needed to hear this story. My ex broke up with me about 6 months ago and this was my first relationship. I prayed to God about it and fasted because I didn’t understand why the breakup happened. I received confirmations that we should’ve stayed together. But 2 months later, God said it’s time to move on. I’ve been obedient, but sometimes I think back to those confirmations I received and wonder if I shouldn’t give up on my ex. I feel like her story is a cautionary tale. I’m 25 and the last thing I want to do is chase a man that doesn’t want me for years. I’ll keep moving on and follow God’s current instructions instead of being caught up on something He said in a past season of my life.

Agree
@alicetheegreet2 ай бұрын
I think he put her in that category even before she spent the night. I think he offered her to spend the night because he thought she was thirsty and an easy lay. I think he thought that the moment she showed up a week earlier than she emailed and said she'd planned on coming. I think he gained some respect for her when she actually didn't have sex with him even though she was in his bed. I think that's why he called her to share something great that happened to him; and when she didn't respond with the enthusiasm nor intellect he was hoping, he put her as a possible bed buddy category. I think if he was honorable, he should've called her the moment he realized that she wasn't the one, which was right after that phone call, he should've told her, "I know we kissed and I had you in my bed. I don't want to mislead you. I've found my wife and I'm falling in love with her. Even if you and I were the last persons on this earth, I'd never marry you." I'm sure that's how he felt about her.
