Great review!!! I am excited for these products!! I can already see myself proudly pulling out these huge Chanel palette from my handbag! I know a lot of fair skinned folks may find these shades intimidating but you show how beautiful and elegant these shades are on your skin, classy look. I’m happy to see Chanel stepping out of the box a bit but it is a bit disappointing to read such a large amount of comments expressing concern on the depth of shades. It almost reads that folks are disappointed that every launch isn’t made for their skin tone😊 I am a woman of color who has used Chanel for over 20 years and I know first hand that many of their launches have not had diverse folks in their marketing plan. Just saying, everything isn’t for everyone and it’s ok. It’s also ok for Chanel to try to increase their reach while still satisfying their base. Once again, GORGEOUS looks created with both palettes❤

Agreed I think it’s good for them to mix it up and I think the darker palette will translate so well to deeper skin tones and be very flattering. It’s okay if not every launch is a perfect match for me. Idk I personally love these!

I am pale and still love it. I have to work with little bit on the brush, but it is lovely on the cheeks On my eyes I have to use mascara and eyeliner for contract so I have no cry eyes, but man it is lovely I think that the negative reactions are from persons who haven’t tried it on the way how to use it.

I really like the concept of this palette and hope more brands go down this route of more multi-tasking products but in actual useable sizes. Like most eyeshadows we can use on cheeks but getting a face brush in isn’t easy, so rethinking product size is such an easy but smart way to help consumers play more with their makeup and placing colours in multiple places - and is excellent for the busy makeup wearer!

I Love that Sonia G brush! It is killing me that Chanel has decided to try to compete with Hourglass with these palettes. But The Collective has missed the boat. They don't really understand why we use those as all over face palettes. If they did, they would have given us 6 shades, for one thing. However, this whole launch screams of desperation to me. None of the palette combinations gives the best of real blush or eye palettes. And they put a huge price on this as if it's a win. Ridiculous. Chanel needs to get a real makeup artist back. One who isn't obsessed with red eyelids. But Libre is a revelation. Looks Nothing like any online photos. I'll get that. And you made it all look beautiful on you. Thanks for the video!💚

Really appreciate this review @Sofia. These palettes are an easy pass for me - could not be more over the red tones (hate them for my light, cool skin tone) and Lucia Pica left Chanel almost a year ago!!!! So far I am finding it very easy to stick to my low/no buy since it is mainly warm toned products being released which are always a huge no for me!!!

I have always wanted to try their blush but they are too expensive and they contain fragrance which I can't do. So when I realized these didn't have fragrance and were not $50 each pan I jumped. Did you end up getting any? I got the darker one; it was all they had left. Hasn't come yet. Hope it is worth it. 🙂

Just phoned one of my local boutiques in Melbourne (Emporium if anyone else is from here) and spoke to an SA. They were amazed! Never heard of it and were excited at the idea of the house having a face palette. We are very Asian based market here of course so maybe? They don’t have it right now but I am on the top of the list for temptress 😊 She was actually grateful I phoned to let her know. She of course reminded me of the new releases expected in the next few weeks (as referrered to) but for once that’s not what I’m after. We are going into autumn. I probably do have these colours if I look very hard (although my Chanel collection isn’t big) but to have it in a palette 😮❤. And the transition/neutral blush shade and shiny pretty pink shade (oh chefs kiss 😘) I have the limited edition camellia highlighter but as you say lovely lady, to have one with a pink shift, be still my beating heart! Can you tell I’m keen on this?? 🤪😀😂😂

Nice to see the launch Sofia and I always appreciate your enthusiasm . As a CHANEL fan, sadly I am not feeling this. For me, the colour story screams Fall - not colours I would gravitate towards for Spring/Summer. The large format I love. Here in Canada we got the highlight & bronzer last summer in the large format and that made sense. But the large pan size here I will never go through. I am looking forward to the Les Beiges release 🤞

2 of the shades in the lighter palette (the coral and the highlighter) also looked like the blush highlighter split pan they had few season ago. I have hoped the nude colour was a bronzer shade then I would probably pick that up. I am waiting to see the Les beige blush if it’s pigmented enough. I might get that one instead.

The rose gold liner is part of the permanent collection indeed, I used to work for Chanel up until last year and these launched as part of a revamp of the stylo yeux line and new colours such as these were added to the already (very boring tbh) existing collection and it was fantastic. I am si so intrigued about the palettes. I probably will get them both because I use these colours a lot

Hey Natalie! Are you referring to the pink baked shades in those palettes? If those are the ones I would say the formula is a little different because these have a silkier feel. That being said I think once it’s on the cheeks you can get a very similar airbrushed look! 😊

They were supposedly a new formula, meant to have softer pigmentation & give a watercolor-esque effect; like wearing blush as shadow. I actually like the look of both palettes, but I agree that the deeper palette esp., looks more fall/winter than spring. I'm surprised by how many people in the comment section seem to dislike reds & berries! Although I agree, that Chanel has focused too intently on warm tones for the past few years, to the detriment of their line. That's why I was pleasantly surprised that these lean more berry than orange. That being said, I think it would've been smarter for Chanel to make the deeper palette more brown/bronze leaning😂. Both palettes have a berry shade that's v.similar, & I think that replacing it w/a rosy, sunburn-y terracotta (think of their LE '22 shade, Brun Roussi), & making the satin shade bronzier, would've 1)made the deeper palette more versatile, 2)made people more apt to purchase both versions, & 3)been more flattering on tan & deeper skin tones. Personally, I'm quite pale & more cool-to-neutral toned. I can't help but wish that Chanel released at least 1 more, cool-toned, option. Perhaps w/a pale pink, rosy-beige, & soft lilac blushes, & a pale, beige-pearl highlight? To my knowledge, Chanel has never released a highlighter that's light enough for pale skin to use in a conventional manner. IMO, their face products could use a general updating & refreshing. Their best powder highlighters have always been strictly limited-edition, they made all of their blushes considerably warmer when they updated them a few yrs. ago, & they need to expand the shade-ranges of all of them🤷🏻‍♀️.

It’s really helpful and I don’t prefer the shorts or Tik tok. You would suit the 64 shade in the rouge allure velvet. Even you already have amazingly pigmented lips. It’s a really unique shade. The new Hermes limited edition shinny lipsticks would suit you too. There are two shades 10 Beige Criosette and 22 Brun Yachting. I know you would have seen them before us no doubt. I bought the darker one just the other day. I was super late to the party and it is all they had left. I do have a lot of peachy shades so honestly, I think I am going to love the darker/berry toned one. I get pretty dark in summer so I am hoping I can get it to work now (with a light fan brush) and later. I have light-medium skin tone; but get a bit dark in summer, so I think this darker one will be a win for me. At least I hope so cuz it is expensive. But in all fairness, I broke down each pan to less than $25 per pan; which is not a ton compared to their single blushes. I have avoided their round blushes since they have fragrance and these don't (not to mention I wont spend $50 on a single blush) so I decided to splurge on this one. It is my first Chanel purchase and probably my last but am excited to get it. 🙂

I'm really intrigued by any face palette. 😄Although I don't understand the berry shade in the 'lighter' palette. It gives a stark baroque vibe and I can imagine that on me (I am BR 12 in Chanel) it would look sickening. But I'm thinking now of just exchanging it with one of my Chanel blushes. Great review! These palettes seem they can be used together for day to night, year round looks (think PML Divine Rose series). Perhaps Chanel is tempting us to be prepared to purchase the deeper palette in anticipation for late summer/early fall considering the challenge with coordinating launch dates with current supply chain issues. I’m tempted to get both palettes.

All of these colors would work in South Florida! We have no seasons, so everything goes down here. But, you have to love all that pink around your eyes. I love berry in the crease, but…I like a cooler burgundy on the outer corner more than the red. Nice, that they could work for blush and highlighter though. I have ND Sunrise with the berry and burgundy already, and I love the colors.

When I think of Spring, i don’t think of red. I think all of the luxury makeup brands need to think through their color selections. I do love red eyeshadow, but not in this combination. I may get the lighter one, Tendresse, or wait for the Les Beige Spring launch. I do like that you can use it as a face palette and that lipstick is beautiful on you! But then again, I have palettes with red in the Dior Velvet that I really like and blushes and highlighters from Pat McGrath that I love so both are very dupe-able in my collection. Great video. Same. I cannot wear purple esp. on my eyes. I just got the darker one (all they had left) and am a bit nervous; but I can wear berry blushes so I am hoping I can wear these. Didn't get it for eye shadow. And I do like the size. I do not bring any of my expensive makeup out of my house. Not willing to have them broken. I hope I love it. If not my gf with very dark skin will get a very expensive gift. 😞

Ooo your green eyes will pop with each of these! If you are shade 20 I think I would recommend the lighter palette because of the soft tones

These are a hard pass for me, but if they had kept those face & cheek palettes by Lucia Pica (the cream trios), I would still be collecting them! They had so many tones, very well thought out.

I bought them! They are so much better in person.. I really like the formula as well. As for the eyes, it is not necessary to use all the shades at once as I see in several reviews.

Good to know!!! I just got the darker one (all they had left). Hasn't come in yet but am super excited. I have light-medium skin tone and get darker in summer so I should be able to do well with it. I don't wear much eye shadow so it will be just for blush. Just hoping I can get the red one to work. I am not into red but am willing to try. 🙂

I couldn't justify buying either of these because I wouldn't use all the colours. I would like to see Chanel bring out some slightly oversized eyeshadow quads where maybe you get 1-2 grams per colour.

Thanks so much for the review! These are an easy pass for me. I don’t really understand the color stories - does anyone really need red eyeshadow or blush? I love Chanel and think that the multipurpose, oversized palette is an interesting idea, but why didn’t they create something a little more neutral?

I think they are trying to do something that is a little different and not as easily durable with the permanent collection since it’s a seasonal release. They also did a very neutral collection last year. Those are my guesses 🙂

@@SofiaSeesBeauty Hi, first time checking out your channel. Thank you for your content. I just bought 957 Tendresse yesterday at Bloomie's in NYC. I wear Chanel B20 or B10, so light skin. I'm loving the red color as a blush; it looks closest to my natural color when I blush. I put it on with my fingers for a lighter look. The neutral l brown shade in the lower left is a good, subtle eye shadow for me. The other two shades I've played with as a highlighter and shadow accent to the inner corners of my eyes. So I think the shades are more versatile than they look in the pan, and they got me out of my neutral comfort zone, so it's a good purchase for me. Sofia, I really like how you used the colors - inspiring!

I got the deeper shade palette.I was in complete FOMO but its "meh"..nice berry blush shades but im not really into berry types for my eyeshadows and the gold highlighter took a lil bit buffing in.I like hourglass better and they are proper multi-purpose.Nice pigmented blushes but they are not unique.i have used the blushes as lipcolor on well moisturized lips and then a clear balm on top and it worked well...Hourglass palettes still the best for me..This chanel also emphasized more pores i didnt think i had that much but hourglass doesnt..Isnt that weird? Lol These look gorgeous on you though..Not that you need anything..You are naturally pretty 🫶🩷

Thank you so much for this review. I think the concept is good and the palettes are pretty but I’m passing on these. It’s the color story for me. These colours immediately bring to mind Candour et Experience, Warm Memories, Intensite, Les Beiges Tender and whatever the other Candour one was called. Then I think of some of the blushes like Fuschia Rosa, Malice etc. I'll pass, but they are a beautiful product and a welcome change.

Wow 2023 is the year of red. Red lipsticks, red eyeshadows from Chanel and Tom From ford. I love Chanel, a very cool concept but I have all these colours in other formats and brands. I will skip this and save my $145 AUS for something else. Great review, hugs

Looks pretty on your dark eyes- but I think these colors would look awful on me- i can wear a rust bronzy hue, but these are too stark for me.. these are more editorial and definitely for the under 40 crowd…. Oops-didn’t see that they were a face palette- well, the first one you swatched would be the one I’d use if someone gifted it to me.. but I never wear berry shades.. they just don’t look good on me…. The highlighting blush product looks stunning, though!
