Good morning ☕ What are your thoughts on all of the Chanel summer releases? The Jardin Imaginaire is inspired by the hues you find in a garden and magical whimsy. I've decided to skip the new collection because I am satisfied with the items I purchased a few weeks ago. I purchased bold colourful shades that blend well with my current collection and give me the colourful look I desire. 🌼🌻🌸🌹🌺🌷💐

Je passe aussi et pour moi c’est la première fois que je passe totalement sur une collection… les blush sont beaux mais j’en ai tellement et dans le fond ce que je porte le plus ce sont mes couleurs neutres et dans les ombres essentielles j’ai le jade facetté que j’aime bien et le blanc perle qui ont un shimmer que j’aime bien alors ça me suffit pour ajouter avec mes fards plus neutres. 😊

I just ordered both blushes along with the neon green Stylo. I thought the Jade facet eyeshadow was out of stock on Chanel but they had some in stock so I ordered that as well. I missed out on the lilac. The Jade facet and Stylo -green Stylo will go well together. I ordered that water fresh tint that you used so I can have something on my face during the day. I have the other water foundation but I like the lighter one for daily use.

It is a great look. Thank you. I did get the berry blush this collection. I did not get the other blush one you wore. I do not do peach or coral so happy we actually have a cool berry and will carry it thru the fall. I also bought one pencil in purple which is very nice for me. I really like it and no regrets. The other colours did not grab me . The gloss the model was wearing was supposed to be in the collection but for some reason it did not make it here. Maybe we will see it in the fall is what my rep said. They look a lot like the Lisa Eldridge glosses. Love Paris Paris and wearing it today. You have inspired me to make a nice makeup look today. I may get the peach blush duo. The one you used is lovely and I missed out on it trying to be good. It’s the limited edition that gets me every time. The bronzer palettes aren’t so I limited myself to just the medium rose gold.

Allison you have become my favorite makeup you tuber, always a great job. And your assessments are spot on. Love this look on you. I agree that Chanel seems scattered these days. These eyeshadow sticks seem to go with the fall eyeshadow quads I've seen peeks of, not the two blush/highlighter palettes. I agree they look like they were made with the older palette. There's not much the last couple years I will remember fondly as I still do with various older collections. There was a three part lip compact from Fall 2006 which had a deep plum, gold and cream which when mixed together were gorgeous. I still mourn my finishing of that palette. The eye quad that year with green was also beautiful. Think that was the Peter Phillips era. I do love the summer les beiges palettes but they are recreations of others I loved.

Even at 57 I like color on my eyes and having most of the items you used I created a similar look and it made me feel so good🥰😍😘I bought the green and the light blue Stylo Ombre and Contour from Paris and I really like these two colors. I think the green is more glittery than the blue one but I do use them to add color. I didn't buy the blush highlighter as I also have this one from years back and to be honest lately I take some oldies out using them instead of buying new all the time. I never finish anything not even half haha.

I love your look and I love that you are recommending options for anyone not wanting to buy this release! I actually did end up buying 4 shadow sticks and one of the new eyebrow pencils. The shadow sticks are amazing and it is disappointing to learn they are limited edition. I hate that because the colors are beautiful! I picked up the pink, blue, purple, and green. Love them! I think these colors will sell out, even before the blush/highlighter duos. The brow pencil is okay, it is nice and nothing special. I think what irks me about it is it does not have a cap!!! I'm a bit confused about the new direction of Chanel beauty. While I do like the different ideas I'm not sure the execution is always great and I'm not sure who the target customer is. Or what the intended aesthetic is. 😅so many limited releases it appears even more random trial and error... I mean if you truly stand behind the product you'd probably offer it permanently. No idea what to expect for the holidays... I hope we still get a winter release in Les Blanc aesthetic. I personally was a huge fan of the Le Blanc items and I do miss the Cruise collections. Something about these smaller releases always felt special and more curated to me.

I ended up ordering all the eyeshadow sticks. I see that each collection they are releasing go with the previous releases pretty well and the fall palettes look like they will go with this collection. Perhaps they each wanted it to go together but it would be overwhelming to the consumer to release it all at once? I’m still on the fence about the direction of the comettes collective. I like the newness of colors but I don’t see myself wanting every collection that comes out anymore.

Hi Allison, I skipped many releases from Chanel. Last time when I bought something from limited edition collection was when I got Crystal Parure eyeshadow quad. Recently I bought one mono eyeshadow- Beige Sable. I have a lot of blushes (nothing from Chanel) and I don’t need more. Also these new Chanel blushes are half highlighter and I don’t use highlighter. In the situation I really want another blush I will not pick one of these because I don’t want to pay for half of the pallet. The fall limited edition collection from Chanel is terrible: 2 ugly matte circus look eyeshadows. I don’t know who is the target customer for them but definitely not me. They are not elegant, timeless and wearable (how Chanel makeup supposed to be). Maybe they are designed for Halloween situation. 😁 Looking how many limited editions are still available (Australia) I guess I am not the only one unhappy with their special editions. Overall in my opinion these new creative directors created nothing so far. Dior fall collection is much nicer and I am sure they will sell it better than Chanel. In order to finish in a positive note I love Chanel Sublimage foundation and concealer. 🙂 Thanks for sharing!🌻

Dear Allison, I have been thinking of putting this question to you . I used Chanel vitalumere foundation in the one in bottle shade beige 04 . They discontinued . Now it’s available only in aqua formula . You see it had a yellow undertone to it that my skin needs . Chanel has everything with a pinkish tinge . Any suggestions which foundation would match the color I am mentioning. I am so upset my stock has finished with no other that works . Please reply

@@AllisonChase Dear Allison , I have been to stores . What I am saying is that Chanel has all pink undertones . People from Indian subcontinent have yellow undertones suited best . Since you’ve worked with Chanel you could always raise this concern . I am amazed when I ran out of my colour shade from Chanel I have tried every foundation line they have even Sublimage . All pink undertones , It’s very disappointing. Only ones with yellow undertones are for very dark skin color that’s all nothing in medium beige’s. 😐

The blue eye stick is not glittery. I bought that one and the peach/gold duo. I was sure I wanted the pink duo but I tried them in a boutique and was happy I did because the peach is much prettier in person. I just don’t understand why this is collection is still not available online in the US. Chanel is borderline irritating me over this. Bob Ross eyeshadow process make me laugh 😂

I can’t stand Chanel releases anymore. I haven’t bought any new Chanel releases for two years.. when I saw the 3 little girls who they brought to be new make up designers I knew that they were going to screw things up. And I was right. This is not Chanel makeup anymore. This looks like a cheap drugstore line.

Looks great Allison. I think the original look would look great if I was 30 yrs. younger. 😁But I think I can do parts of the look and still be elegant and sophisticated. I might pick up the blush in the raspberry since my Chantecaille blush that was similar broke. It was the one with the pearls on top. Always fun to experiment with something fun though at any age. Any thoughts on how to make lipstick last longer? When I use a lipstick and put a gloss on top it looks great for around 5 min. then fades or gets eaten off. A bit annoying. 🦩🐍💜 (aquatic garden)

Thank you Linda 💕💕 The model they chose was certainly quite young. I do remember that pink blush from Chantecaille, it's really lovely. Try filling your lips in completely with a lip liner before applying the lipstick overtop. That should help with longer wear.

I have been thinking of putting this question to you . I used Chanel vitalumere foundation in the one in bottle shade beige 04 . They discontinued . Now it’s available only in aqua formula . You see it had a yellow undertone to it that my skin needs . Chanel has everything with a pinkish tinge . Any suggestions which foundation would match the color I am mentioning. I am so upset my stock has finished with no other that works . Please reply
