I was just about to say that the bag looks to have been redyed or colored and then you just took the words right out of my mouth! 😱 Updating my comment: not disclosing that the bag was redyed and also not disclosing that the original length of the chain was altered is a no no IMO and I can tell that you really want to be happy but there’s disappointment. 😔 Please don’t settle if you’re not 100% satisfied June. Just from one Chanel lover to another, vintage lambskin is so special and so soft. Redyed lambskin will be rough to the touch, as I’m sure you noticed. 😣

Hi love, on closer inspection I feel like it was actually just the corners and edges that have been touched up. I honestly think the leather original but possibly treated/spa'd? Because its definitely not as soft as what I'm used to... but it doesnt look like its been re-dyed. Either way they've actually done a pretty good job with the bag, I'm really happy with her because she looks great and probably better than what any leather specialist in my local area could have done! @@heyyyjune Aw okay, as long as you're happy, that's what matters most!! If you want to be sure about whether or not the entire bag was re-dyed, just checking the stitching. If the stitches have dye/paint on them, that's a dead giveaway. I do hope it's just the corners and edges as you said! Either way, hope you enjoy!! xx

Beautiful bag but the non disclosure of the colour treatment is not very nice of the reseller. There’s definitely a big difference between re-dye vs re-colour/re-paint. Re-dye goes deeper into the layers of the leather as there are many steps to strip off the initial layer first and let the dye seep in over time. Also re-dye can only be done from lighter to darker. Re-colour or re-paint is just applying leather paint on top of the leather. It can definitely flake off or have obvious creasing at the distressed areas where you open/close the bag. I have a lot of experience with re-colour and re-dye on leather shoes, so this would be my comment for you. Thanks for sharing.

What a stunning bag June, congrats!! I have a very similar one, series 2, snow white, and we are roughly the same height, and the vintage square mini definitely has a much longer strap than the 'modern mini'. I do feel the seller should have been more honest with you. Either way, she's super pretty!! I wear mine quite often

I wish I bought it for that! haha. It's definitely still worth it IMO. Unfortunately these bags are hard to come by regardless... and the condition is actually fantastic despite it being reburbished! Good condition for these bags are around $6000-7000 AUD which is so much more! :(
