"planned" in the sense that a lot of their survival show was probably scripted and that JYP "planned" to take a risk with one of his trainees, yes. but the members of Stray Kids were chosen by the leader Bang Chan himself, not JYP. kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYvZkH5jq52oiqs they decided on their own group name as well (or at least had a big say in it) and even their LOGO was drawn/designed by Chan. all things considered, I'd say Stray Kids are about as self-made as a kpop group CAN be. it's really more Chan's group than JYP's lol. so I think BTS and Stray Kids are both very authentic and groundbreaking as groups - just in their own different ways. and that's why they're both awesome and deserve love.
