Never topup your fuel tank it may damage the fuel system. There is no need to use hi octane it is just waste of money. Hi octane is recommended for cars which have a compression ratio greater than 11:1 Honda civic falls in this category. Using hi octane in car which have compression ratio less than 11:1 may damage the car engine and do not provide any fuel economy. Changan Alsvin have a Euro 5 engine and requires Euro 5 fuel which is only available at selected PSO stations. Use of lower than Euro 5 fuel may cause knocking of engine.

​ @CarMatePK Sir, You traveled 364 in 27 Ltrs that comes out to be 13.64 where as meter shows 5.2 that moraless 19 point something which is wrong by meter. Meter shows at least 2 less then actual. your actual meter reading is 7.2 not 5.2 so if you see 100/7.2 its same ur are getting on manual reading so my point of view is meter is correct if you add 2 points in ur average

If 24 litres petrol was consumed for 294 km distance from Islamabad to Lahore, then average is 12.25 km per litre. This seems too low.

365kms were covered in this trip when it was refuelled. The average was around 18.6. Which isn’t too bad I guess. And two letters of fuel was additional from the last time I topped it up. How did it happen? I’ve no idea.
