Think about how you think. You can look at something fluidly, identify and modify it in your mind, move it, describe it.... What we mean by understanding is not the sum of knowledge, but the sum of relationships with all this information. Knowledge is the layer above information that transforms.

I have programmed micro computers for 47 years and I have never learned more about hardware than from Jim Keller. I bought an IMSAI computer in 1975 (8080 CPU) that I got in parts bags. Thank you, Jim.

Mr. Keller has given some recent speeches. This one is polished. Don't skip the Q & A or you will miss some real insight.

“Google invented map reduce” Didn’t the Connection Machine have common patterns for map reduce? And around the same time (early 90s), didn’t workstation cluster software also use that pattern?
