Thanks for the video about this interesting and important tool. Although you have mentioned that the engine should be running while using this equipment it is very important precaution. Like XUV 500 the 700 is also a monocoque chassis so the hight is not that high and we can easily use the car without the sidestep .

no the length is ok its like a tyre inflator . you can directly connect to battery also , as the adaptor to do so comes in the bag as shown in video so you have that option too .

The only tyre in question is front non driver side , the cable is just bearly enough for setting the jack so it works . On plus side it also has a adaptor which can be directly connected to battery . so its not a problem.

it does as you place jack much before the tyre and for even long vehicles its provided with a adapter "shown in video" which helps connect the jack directly to car battery.
