I chose “merula is lying” and for me it was the best option. Even though “give me your hair” is funnier, Snape already hates me enough and I don’t want to give him more suspicion... saying merula lies just has him dismiss you and turn around without much thought

In my case, I couldn't get Snape's hair. But luckily Penny had a backup plan. She managed to get some of Felix Rosier's (the Slytherin prefect) dandruff and my character disguised as him. And Penny said she got a Slytherin robe from "a friend". Now this could be either Liz or a new character, or just someone we wouldn't see in the game.

I had heard someone complain before that the attributes correspond to Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw but there's no cunning attribute for Slytherin. At the point where you try challenging Merula to duplicate the potion in Potions Class, I realized that Cunning would make more sense there than Knowledge. We really should have an attribute corresponding to Slytherin.
