I’m 46 and I was born again at 20, just before I enlisted in the Army in 1998. I only recently (last 10 years) have been taking my walk with Christ “seriously”. I have become more and more interested in learning, not just reading scripture. I used to regularly ask God to reveal anything to me that may increase my interest in the Bible, as a whole. My undeniably increased interest over the last decade is due to one simple fact that God laid on my heart. I am and always have been naturally intrigued by history. Just look at my grades in history from HS through College and my book collection. Though, I always believed the events, stories and people in the Bible were real, for some reason it never occurred to me that I was missing out on valuable history. THE history of our existence! Once God revealed this to me, I have been relatively obsessing over details and the historical significance of the miracles, conversations and parables which are misunderstood and misinterpreted by so many. I also thank God for the roll The Chosen has played the last few years in peaking my interest in many other things like the details of Jewish culture of that time, the language and geography. That brings me to you guys. I also thank God I found Grafted through The Chosen and all I have learned by watching your reactions to the show. I find myself more interested in your thoughts and insights on what even the seemingly most minute cultural details and meanings are.
