www.worldchangers.org/Watch-and-Listen/Archive-Services Use this link, don't type anything in the speaker and topic box. In the "keyword search" box type "change" and click Go and it will display "The Grace given power to Change" series. This sermon is part 6 of the series. Hope this helps.

If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid? If there is calamity in a city, will not the Lord have done it? Surely the Lord God does nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets. Amos 3:6-7 This is a classic case of cause and effect! Because of the iniquity of Israel, the effect was calamity on the nation. Now to understand the reasoning behind calamity on a city, or a nation, or a people, we must understand the fact behind God's sovereignty who is able to raise up kings and kingdoms, nations and peoples. However, all nations and kingdoms has an obligation to do the will of God. For we see this in the book of Romans 13:1 which says: Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Romans 13:1 Now this is interesting because the trumpet is liken to an alarm which kept Israel alarmed of dangerous times lurking. In fact, God's judgment was lurking on His people. 1 Peter 4:17 says: For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? You see, to whom much is given, much is expected and Israel was appointed by God in addition to entering into a covenant relationship with God which gave God the right to judge them, who were the representatives of the house of God. Whether directly or indirectly the Lord God is always behind the calamity or judgement on His people. This is why it is paramount to hear the words of the Lord from God's servants the prophets or the anointed ones because God is faithful in that He will not bring calamity/judgement upon a city, or a nation, or a people until His servants the prophets or the anointed ones has blown or sounded the trumpet of His word to that city, or nation, or people who are of the household of faith. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Galatians 6:7 This is the word for today
