The age 18 is considered as a milestone in everybody's life because that is when one transitions from being a child to being an adult - legally! But this is a change or transition that is accompanied by many upheavals, uncertainties and worries. What is the safest and best way to make this transition? It is to have Swami by the side - as a friend. Here is a special experience of my father as he transitioned from 17 to 18. Swami gave him a gift that he cherished and held dear all his life.
I am grateful to @Souljourns and Ted Henry for having captured this candid sharing by Mr. Balasubramanya in 2012. This is a very personal incident that happened in 1970, in Brindavan (Whitefield), Bangalore.
The incident also inspires us to have God as the friend to face any other change or transition in life as well.

I had a dream of Swami a few years ago and Swami did the same thing to me in my dream - he hugged and kissed me on my face with so much love and I was very happy but thought Am I so pure enough for Swami to do this?Then I asked him when will take me to you Swami?I want to come to you.He replied in 2 years.But 2 years are over now and I am still in this world.Whay Swami says may not be what we think.I have had many dreams of him over the course of my life and I'm sure He is with me every step of my life's journey ❤ Sai Ram ❤ Sathya Sai paadambujam bhajare manasa nirantanram!!

Om sai ram brother. Yes it's true we all feel swami loves me the most. In the 1990s after I came to see him in presanthi from South Africa, one night in my dream he gave me a stern look and then suddenly opened his arms for me. when i was about 15 I used to roller skate a lot around my town here in london.And there was this derelict old car park building about 6-7 floors that I used skate down from the top floor down to the bottom.Sometimes at the top floor i use to look towards a direction thinking Baba why havent you go a temple or house with Vibutti appearing right around in my town that i can go to . a few months later i find out there was a house where these miracles were taking place in a very direction of my town I kept on asking for it. Hes everywhere even before you are born ..
