Dear Captain, could you be so kind to explain how you get MCTC = 206.505. (on time of video 20:55). All other figure I interpolate and were correct. But this one I get wrong. Can you tell me from which values you take interpolation? Best regards Aleksandar Batanjac
@MarineGurukul3 жыл бұрын
It is obtained by converting the MCTC in SW (captured in the row above the one you are referring) to MCTC in DW of RD 1.002. Please watch following video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGPXinh_faunn6c

Sir, can we do demucking of chain locker at sea?? What is the procedure??
@MarineGurukul2 жыл бұрын
If you see the construction of chain locker, it has a perforated plate over which cable is stowed. It is ideally done while the ship is in dry dock - where cable is ranged in the dock to facilitate chain locker demucking & maintenance However, if it becomes essential otherwise, ideal location will be at anchor - where most of the cable can be paid out. In extremely urgent cases, it can be planned in port by paying out cable on a hired barge. At sea, I am afraid, if demucking can or should be attempted.... PLEASE REMEMBER TO ALWAYS TREAT CHAIN LOCKER AS ENCLOSED SPACE FOR MAN-ENTRY REQUIREMENTS. Hope could answer your question. Best Wishes

I think there is a mistake about trim change.First minutes you said LCB>LCF or LCBLCB etc .Which one is correct?
@MarineGurukul Жыл бұрын
it is between LCB & LCF. If LCG was used, must have been a slip of tongue. Apologies if it was so. Best Wishes
@praveerthakur9013 Жыл бұрын
One doubt With the sinkage here LCB is increasing but actually when vsl @ EK with change in draft LCB decreases.... And if LCF is greater than LCB vsl is supposed to be down by head but in the image its trim by stern. Correct me if m wrong. Thanks in advance...

sir in first question we have to add value of sinkage in hydrostatic draft ??
@MarineGurukul2 жыл бұрын
In Hindship question - No, as the new hydraft accounts for rise / sinkage In fixed particulars question - Yes. Best Wishes

Sir in 2nd problem you have said tpc and mctc is given in SW ! But it doesn't mentioned in question . kindly explain?
@MarineGurukul2 жыл бұрын
When hydrostatic particulars are provides and not explicitly stated about density of water, in ship stability, it is presumed to be in SW. Best Wishes

Sir nice explain regarding change of trim due to change of density. I have a doubt when vessel is in dock we have draft at some density but hydrostatic particular given for sea water density. So how we can get the displacement for dock water density ? Kindly explain sir

Sir, will there be any change in LCF, TPC, Cb?
@MarineGurukul2 жыл бұрын
1) Whenever there is change in draft - for whatsoever reason, for a normal ship-shaped vessel - LCF, TPC & Cb would change. 2) In cases where we do not have access to hydrostatic particulars, for change in trim because of change in density, we assume the waterplane area for the range of rise or sinkage to remain constant. In such case, TPC & LCF by default remain same over that range. Hope I have answered your query. Best Wishes
