by writing slowly :) i always got poor grades for it in elementary school. i try and make a point of keeping things as clear as possible when i make the videos!

I like how when doing partial fraction decomp you picked values for v which make the other two equal 0. This saves us from solving a matrix, the most tedious part.

is there any video on how to do differential equations using Bernoulli equation ?(:

((assuming v isn't equal to 1))), can't you simplify things starting 2:41 by doing the long division to get dy/dx=v^2+v ??

thanks a lot patrickJMT. :)

Couldn't you just have used long division when using the substitution of V and avoided partial fractions?

I get the similar equation to you but I have to get the y=... I don't know how to get there. I know I have to use e^... but I can't figure it out. Could you explain me.Thanks for such quality vids.

what happens if the degree of the variables aren't the same?
@withdunamis10 жыл бұрын
Are the change of variable questions the same as substitution method? I'm confused because my textbook does not divide the whole equation to 1/x^(degree of equation)
@imperialrecker71114 жыл бұрын
no this is homogenous. I think your text book is talking about variable separable.

What of the equation has no denominator? Do i still use 1 over x cubed over 1 over x cube?

you rock!! can we get some second+ degree homogenous ? aka y"' + y' + y =0 and some with = ≠ 0
@Joshuadaniel-d8h9 жыл бұрын
Why do you let v=-2 in particular.
@faisalsaleem219 жыл бұрын
+Joshua Daniel He used -2 because it will cancel out terms in his (v+2) equation. Just a quicker way to solve for A, B and C unknowns for his partial equation.

question guys, why don't we put the [+C] on the right hand side? (the side that we did the partial fractions).
@erickrobles63659 жыл бұрын
+Erick Robles +patrickJMT
@fortoday049 жыл бұрын
+Erick Robles You only write C on one side because if you wrote two c's (c1 and c2), you would move one over to make c1 - c2, which you could just call C.

@debasishmajhi6877 жыл бұрын
dy/dx= -((x+y)/(2xy))

@ahsan3691 they'd be non-homogeneous which means you should try some other method

At the step : (v^3+2v^2- v) / (v+1) I actually did the division by long division, easily, which leads to an even simpler integration process. Just an idea!
