Today I worked on the American Dipper tapestry for the last time! It is almost done. We discussed shedding issues as I made many mistakes in that regard.

Hi from the UK. I should really be doing coursework for my university program, but right now there is nowhere I'd rather be than in my studio with my kitten and watching Change the Shed :)

I used rare earth magnets on a recent tapestry and found they were doing funny things to my warp tension. Obviously I could move the magnets around the piece. Only recently cut the tapestry off so we'll see if they caused any long term issues. Has anyone else noticed this happening?

I haven't experienced this but I haven't used them extensively either. I know quite a few professional tapestry weavers who use them, but they are also working consistently and moving the magnets a lot, so that could be part of it. I'd pay attention to any issues the magnets might be causing for you! They might not be the right solution.
