Excellent video on airbag removal. I was able to get in a few minutes after watching. It doesn't take a lot of force when you get the tool in the right spot. I'm trying to activate heated steering wheel. My F57 was built 5/23. I have LDW but no wheel heat switch. I have read that if you have LDW then the wheel heat wiring is there. I have a wheel heat switch plugged in and Bimmercoded it. I have switch power and dash indication but no heat. So...either its coded wrong or I'm missing some components...I think its the latter. I have pictures with the airbag off and there are no wires running to the bottom of the steering wheel.

Great video. I really want to do this as the leather on my wheel has worn badly. But i am scared with the airbag. And just making a mess in general. Would you say its quite manageable once the airbag is removed? Thanks

@@MollydoesKZbin managed to do it second time round. Ist time I used a torx screwdriver and I could not even get one clip off. 2nd time I used a tool for extracting the valve from tyres as heard the tip. It worked!! It's still fiddly as helll but happy with the result. Have a lovely day Molly.
