Very exciting about your new shelves! And I love a good organizational system. I have a LibraryThing and update it, but I see it more as a bookish social media platform rather than an organizational tool. I don’t have that many books due to living in an apartment so I can usually find what I need pretty quickly.

As long as you can find what you are looking for, you don't need to go to all the cataloging fuss. Maybe someday I won't have so many books and can do without it. With most of them on shelves now, it is certainly easier for me!

How exciting! I can't wait to see the new bookcases! Sounds like you're very organized. I haven't tried Library Thing - I've been using Goodreads for years.
