I think I'll be sticking to the Utah deserts for another couple months until the Colorado Rockies are clear enough of snow for reasonable access to high peaks. I may do a couple snow climbs in May/June. I'm most excited for Coyote Gulch, maybe some pack rafting in Lake Powell and a few canyons way south, maybe Buckskin and or The Black hole of White canyon! I generally let the weather dictate what I do. Kinda late catching up but retired life keeps me active. Passed up a conference in PIT this year, holding out for a '25 conference in Anchorage AK. As a retired alumni of the association holiding the annual conferences, I pick and choose my preferred destinations. Anchorage, Talkeetna, Denali, Kenai Fords Seward, visiting the Dick Proenneke cabin...not really a hard choice IMHO, compared to PIT. Thanks for showing me a bit of the city I passed up for ANC next year. Good to hear the movie/entertainment work has picked up. Thrilled to hear about your PBS work too!! Please keep us updated on your professional appearances.🙏

@@AliceFordAdventures I'm not sure what normal looks like anymore because the world was changed significantly after COVID. But hopefully 2024 will be the start of new milestones for everyone. My biggest concern is climate. So many lakes didn't freeze this year, Plus, the U.S. is significantly warm

It is sad but just a fact that great creators like yourself really don't get paid enough to make it more than a low-paid labor of love...which is why I want to thank you for all the time, effort and talent that you put into your stories. They are so much better than watching TV! If your job keeps you busy, that's a good thing and I will be grateful for anything you can produce in your spare time.

I spent a week in Pittsburg last year in January for business, if i would have had some time off, probably would have explored the Carnegie Museum, botanical Gardens and went for a walk around the old Fort Pitt. The place does have a lot of hiking trails, make sure you play it safe.

If you're ever in LA/San Diego you should check out the mud caves in Anza Borrego, and the 3 sisters falls. You could also kayak in La Jolla cove and snorkel with the sea lions in the late summer warmest water usually.

awesome! I just thought of another one, if you're ever in Sydney Australia, you definitely should check out the Jenolan Caves! They were *amazing* when we visited, we went back twice. The whole area has some very cool wilderness too, apparently home to platypus as well.@@AliceFordAdventures

@@AliceFordAdventuresGorgeous area as well. If you are heading back towards PA from there, check out the Monongahela National Forest. Dolly sods has a crazy history. It’s about 2.5 hours North East. Its a great overnight hiking destination. But can be made into a beautiful day hike. If you ever go this time of year there are a few warnings! But the Dolly sods would be a cool historical video.

that's totally understandable in life! I've always been incredibly impressed by you, wether you're making 1 video a week or 1 a year. I actually don't know how you do all that you do already, and on top of that, somehow writing a book!? I'm doing alot less travelling and hiking than I used to, as I manage my rental homes, plan the future photo workshops to lead, and just take care of stuff, like housecleaning filling in for my housekeeper that just quit. I have a fun and filled life, but it's not all glamorous, and much of it is filled with work!

Take your time, we are not going anywhere. Side note, on April 8 the total solar eclipse will go right north of Pittsburgh if you are still there, and Alice I am not over exaggerating when I say seeing one is life changing. It’s a spiritual moment that I can’t even put into words.
