I just saw 'Alike', also by Daniel Martinez. It feels odd yet cool to view some of his ancient prior works.

And yet it's funny how it seems to follow along the same lines though I suppose these films still have different meanings.

He thought it was time to step out of line. He thought they thought so too and praised him for it. But they just want to step in line again and not wake up by their own decision

Wow odd that no one actually talked about what was being told here, I expected a discussion on the topic and not the graphics and shit... (Gonna see a lot of changes like this happen as we go on in the future, ppl just don't have the insights anymore) Anyways, so what I noticed was this, every time there is a change because someone thinks of an idea, everyone stands on the shoulders of giants and it becomes the new norm till someone challenges it. For example, freedom of speech, racism to social discrimination, we're getting more complex with our movements and problems. In a sense, it's all relative to the norm, give gold to everyone and the gold loses its value, which is why we take things for granted. I believe it will be harder for something innovative to be a norm in the future that goes outside it's the paradigm, why? Because the paradigm of religion was moved on because of logical explanation for reality, but now it's more subtle because there is in fact, ways of looking at a reality beyond science but we rely on science so much we won't be quick to adapt. Now more than ever we need to preserve wisdom and paradigm breaking or shifting ideas from the past, teach them in our education system so that knowledge isn't all lost. It scares me how comfortable we are, if we lose the internet it's all over for us, too many people who can't sustain, disease, death would be rapid. None of us could reinvent the wheel without the dogma and teachings of the past. Now more than ever we need not just science-based fields but visionaries, talented people, people with passion and purpose towards something they want to discover. Some things I would like to see in the future become mainstream is the use of psychedelics for medical and spiritual use. Study on Quantum Mechanics. Epistemology being taught in the minimum education environment. Meditation is part of daily day life, in school work and home. The modern medical system accepting Eastern medical methods with the use of herbs and different ways of treating something. Less social movements which just puts forward a flawed dogma but a discussion of the social state using a grand model, something like the Spiral Dynamics Model. Also an overall increase in consciousness, not brainpower but I mean awareness, not the hippy stuff, a genuine increase of people having a clear, nonconflicted self that isn't affected by the ego. Notice I said voice not being connected with the ego, the ego is the voice, the illusion of our perspective being an individual instead of the collective experience. We need a voice to communicate and express, but we need to minimize that voice so we can be in line with the grand picture of things. Look at social movements that want a "voice", they're the crowd that has the power hungry ego for power, they will preserve that illusion of justice they are doing but they will utilize that power for their own benefits. This is why when you say something that triggers a mainstream dogmatic group, no matter how much they support free speech they will try to shut you down. It's the nature of humans, the bigger and popular voice wins, not many genuinely care about the truth since truth is relative to conditions. But what we don't grasp is the absolute truth, which takes time to get to but is worth more than anything if we discover it. I will end this comment, now there is a lot of people who will reply with how does this relate with the video? It doesn't, on the surface, but that's what I love about artistic creations, they have deeper implications even the creator is not aware of that ties very well together, again it's also because art is subjective, but that's what's so great about it, we deny subjective "facts" compared to objective, but where objective is a single dimension or layer, subjective truths cover multiple layers, stretching to infinity.

Estupendo film.
