great to see so many anglers...didnt realize singapore had such a huge community. question..why are most people using casting reels with such long rods...how far out do you guys have to cast out?
@PowerAnglerzTV5 жыл бұрын
Casting reels and longer rods an average distance would be around 80 to 100 meters. Abit of touch up and technic for the veterans is between 150 to 200 meters. : )
@ianfrostie5 жыл бұрын
well, to answer your question, most of us who use long rods with multiplier reels are usually distance casting addicts, when in actual truth, the fishes are barely 60m out from shore. Rods of 7-10ft seem to catch the most fish on our shores BUT the catches are mostly small to medium fishes. that being said, there are places in Singapore where the water near the shore are high pressure areas from human intervention i.e beach goers etc, hence the need for long distance casting in those places, and its also true that these places mentioned have produced stingrays and shovel nose rays upwards of 20 - 40 kg with some even hitting the 50kg mark. word of mouth got out and every angler worth their salt in Singapore started using heavy duty long distance rods and it has been that way ever since. all in all, its a matter of passion for the art of casting/fishing itself, not just the fishes caught that brings anglers in Singapore together. i would like to say thank you on behalf of my fishing team Power Anglerz for watching our videos and enjoying the journey with us.
