One of my all-time favourite hawker centres in Singapore. I love the fact that it’s so close to the beach, park connector and Pulau Ubin so it’s a perfect pit stop when I go biking or walking in the area. The biggest draw is the nasi lemak but there’s loads of hidden gems among the food stalls there and also in the shophouse units nearby. The entire village has a really chill, laidback vibe. Love it. Was a bit disappointed that the coastal boardwalk has been boarded off.
@WONDERLUSTworld2 жыл бұрын
There is a lot there and yea it does have a different feel to other places, defiantly chill. I think the boardwalk is still being renovated but maybe during covid it was paused and still taking its time? I’m waiting for the Chinese gardens to re-open again! Meant to be completed already.

I love Changi Village and beach. As far as I can tell, it is the only bit of original Singapore coastline in the East. Certainly the only bit that remains relatively unchanged since my childhood in the 70s. Lucky you caught it on a quiet day. 🙂

I love Changi V too. Used to go there with friends before covid. Tell your kids not to pick up any artifact or object from anywhere because it may be a cursed item. Chinese do not like to pick up item or object that are thrown away. I have had bad experience when I brought home a beautiful angel stained glass wind chimer that somebody hang on a hook near a big open garbage stand on a hdb void deck. I felt uneasy & kept looking at that object hanging in my living room. It seemed that God was telling me to throw it away & I finally did.

Can check out Changi Bay Point nearby via Changi Bay Park Connector. At 3.6km long, it connects Changi Beach Park to the East Coastal Park Connector Network. Completed and opened to the public in January 2022, it offers a scenic coastal route for cyclists and hikers who travel from East Coast Park to Changi Beach Park.

Hello there. It's been quite a while since I last left a comment. Basically because I find though I enjoyed your vlogs but there wasn't any comment need to be made. That is until now. 😁 How quaint. Both your father and I were members of the same beach club over the same period. I's surprised that Millie doesn't know how to pronounce nor know the meaning of "Biennial". It's pronunciation is ALMOST identical as "Bi-annual" (especially for the end syllabus), with the meaning for the former as "every twice years" while the later means "twice withing a year".
@WONDERLUSTworld2 жыл бұрын
Hello, nice to hear from you again. I think I’ve never seen it written. When I googled the pronunciation it’s different to bi-annual. Always learning!! 😊 I wonder if our families ever crossed paths at the beach club!
