The older dolls have sand in them because i just purchased an original Emily doll and oped her up, i found sand bags in the body. YUCK 😢 ... I Cleaned her up and stripped down the vinyl and repainted her. Now she's beautiful and looks lively

My Ashton Drake Jasmine, my favorite now called Lehayla had a sand bag in her head which I had no idea about. One day it busted and the sand was all over inside of her. My partner and I took her apart, we replaced all of her stuffing and removed the wire also which had broken. She is now weighted how I like it and totally clean. I saw some awesome repainted Ashton Drakes, I envy you for you to be able to do that! We enjoy a baby so much more when we can make those changes like weight and paint!

Your doll is an older Ashton Drake doll from 2005, Jennifer by Waltraud Hanl. They no longer make her and she's been sold out for over a decade. The body on your doll is jointed for the legs and arms to move up and down, but in recent years Ashton Drake changed the cloth body which I hate. Your doll has glued on hair, and the new dolls have rooted hair. I prefer to buy the older Ashton Drake dolls so i could easily remove the glued on hair, but i hate the vinyl of the older Ashton Drake dolls because they turned gray in color. A very informative video❤❤ love this discussion
