Doing LED replacements on bikes that have a simple voltage regulator will probably overheat the regulator because the way they regulate is to dump extra power in the system as heat. If the bulbs are not using up that much power then your voltage regulator will wear out. Has anyone experienced any issues like this? I have done LED replacements like this in the past and just use power resistors in parallel to the bulbs to dump the extra heat.
