Read atomic habits by James clear. It helped me become a gym person by a learning how to create small habits that kept me going. I changed up what I was doing as well and now I don't feel right if I don't go and workout. One major thing that really helped me was a video I watched and the guy said something like this "your body doesn't care if you lose 1000 calories by running like Usain bolt everyday, or if you walk like a granny every morning. 1000 calories are 1000 calories and your body doesn't care how you lost it" I started just walking every single day at the gym instead of jogging (I hated jogging, flat feet= this sucks) and my actual weight lifting as well I focus on being consistent rather then having to go super hard every single time and feel the burn Sylvester Stallone style and I have been going to the gym everyday and I actually look forward to it. I feel better, look better and actually have muscle now and the trick was making it enjoyable and not trying to "push myself" the book atomic habits teaches how your brain will actually sabotage you into quitting later on by trying to push you so you can give yourself a break later then eventually manipulate you into stopping going at all.
