How much coolant is required when changing ?

This is awesome man! Looking to winterize my z650 soon and I need to change the coolant! It's been 3 years haha why use the red and not the blue?

Either color will work, but make sure it is for aluminum blocks and you do a complete flush when you change over if you're not sure about compatibility with what's already in there.

+suzuki rider yes. That is standard Asian automotive anti-freeze. Available anywhere and the same formula as recommended by the factory manual on most Japanese bikes.

You didn't show how tight you put on the oil filter; how much force do you use for that?

+Alien Armpit I only go as tight as I can get by hand. Too much and you will crush the o-ring or collapse the filter.

Ah ok thx ! I had the feeling that those filters cannot handle too much force, but wasn't sure.

Before was green coolant,now is red.Not problem?

No issue at all. It's the same no phosphate formula, just a different color. They have green/blue also.

@@Tremonte Does your bike overheat a lot when at red light for extended amount of time ? My temperature gets really high then the fan kicks on but doesn't go down until I start riding for a few minutes. Is this normal ?

Does the amazon oil change kit work for the z650

Anyone knows if the drain plug is magnetized on the Z650? I think some oil filters also have a magnet inside to be able to grabe metal debris from the engine but. Do you recomend having the plug and the filter magnetized?
