interesting vlog Justyn. I too have altered my camera set up, which now includes a GR3 and X100V I am thoroughly enjoying using them for my photowalks. Still have the M4/3rds and the yes 12-100 is a great lens and my most used one out of the bag full I have.

There’s a lot to be said for stripping kit back to fixed lens compacts, especially for photo walks and street. The 12-100 does everything I need in the field, with the 6mm & 9mm there’s no overlap especially when compared to the 8-25mm.

When a compact can get you the same results as a larger setup it's a no brainer. Even I am beginning to feel that the chase for MP's is getting a bit ridiculous.

Anything from 12Mp is enough for a 4K image

I am having a little gear envy watching this. The Sony looks almost makes me want to shoot street. You have been talking to me abt that OM5 lens combo for a little bit now and seeing youm show it here and talk about its features capabilities I can now see its potential - noted. I got a little confused with your comparison and reasons for getting either the M% / EM1 Mk3 or Mk 2? Are you saying that for say a landscape shooter (like myself) the EM1Mk2./3 would be adequate rather than an OM5? What filter was you using to speak like music? 🤣

So the OM-5 is an E-M1 mk3 in a smaller body, likewise the E-M5 mk3 is an E-M1 mk2 in a smaller body. The E-M1s are cheaper and bigger, so then it’s what is more comfortable to you. To get the most out of the Sync-IS from the 12-100mm you need an Olympus body

The Sony is a full frame compact, it’s great. The sound was because I tried dual 🎤 to capture ambient sound. Didn’t work.

Interesting to see where your going in 2024. I'm thinking of buying the 9mm f/1.7 for landscape, low light, astro stuff, what do you think of it?

I’ve only done a little video on the 9mm. I’ll give it a full run out soon and let you know. But I know Dave loves his.
