Having watched nearly 50years of both factory and aftermarket "how to videos from Ford, Gm, Chrysler, and even at the beginning of my automotive career AMC " You are by far the best instructor, pointing out every aspect of the operation in easy to understand instructions.

Great video. You did a very good job at explaining everything at a good pace, not too slow or fast but gave great info for all the questions people would ask.

Very helpful. I'm trying to install heated steering wheel in my 2022 Big Horn. I got excited when I saw the cavity in the clockspring for the heated wheel; but found out it's only the cavity without pins. Hard to understand the reason for not commonizing the clock spring for just 2 wires. As you said, hardest part is reinstalling the airbag. Preloading the springs is almost impossible. I finally got one side on (preloaded) and then really forced the other side to engage. I imagine they bang them in on the assembly line.

Well I’m here to say I’m a proud owner of a 2020 ram 1500 classic and unfortunately my heated steering wheel has failed at 43,000 miles ish. I have a extended warranty with the vehicle that has high tech coverage but unfortunately only the comprehensive package covers fancy interior electronics. This wheel was a factory option. Looks like I’ll be referencing this video once over ordered a replacement wheel.

Did you have to get the clockspring calibrated?

What was wrong with the clockspring? Mine is clicking a bit when turning, I’m thinking I’m going to do that same project! Do you have a part number?

I bought a used clock spring I will be replacing my old one, what is the yellow clip you removed? What was its function? Will I run into issues ?

I'm going to have to install a clock spring in mine too and noticed that yellow tab detail. My assumption is that it is there so you have to break it off to install it. This notifies the seller that it's been installed and voids returns. My other thought is that it is there to keep the clock spring centered.
