Changing Seas - Our Oceans in Peril | Ocean Documentary
Watch 'Adventure Ocean Quest' here: • Our Oceans - Unlocking...
Episode 1: No Fish Left Uncounted - 00:00:00
How do you count two fish, three fish or even a school of fish? A team of scientists joined forces to conduct a massive fish census in Dry Tortugas National Park.
Episode 2: Sentinels of the Seas - 00:25:43
Bottlenose dolphins are a Florida icon. But recent studies show disturbing signs of immune system dysfunction and disease plaguing this charismatic mammal.
Episode 3: Seagrasses and Mangroves - 00:51:24
They are an ancient species of flowering plants that grow submerged in all of the world’s oceans. Seagrasses link offshore coral reefs with coastal mangrove forests.
Episode 4: Sinking the Vandenberg - 01:17:05
Off Key West lies the world's second largest intentionally sunk shipwreck, the USNS General Hoyt S. Vandenberg. This artificial reef is attracting fish, anglers and divers.
Scientists and explorers uncover the wonders of Earth's underwater wilderness. Along the way, they make scientific breakthroughs and highlight how human activity can impact the oceans.

There can never be too many documentaries on our oceans. You know why? Because we’ve only ever explored 5% of the oceans. In person. And 20% overall through other means. So you see, it’s hugely time-consuming, involves a lifetime of dedication. So, you and I - what little we can do to make sure oceans are more than a huge garbage dump - do it. Make no mistake. We CAN do things to help. Using less plastics is one of the best things. AnywYz, enough of the soapboxing - enjoy this showcase of scientists, researchers, and ocean life!

Perhaps we've only explored 5% but our hands are in the destruction of the other 95%. Are the cruise ships still dumping stuff in the ocean? how's the Radioactive stuff dumped by Germany, Britain, France,, around WW2 doing? The Dome with remains of US bomb tests in the pacific leaking ?? Soviets with their stuffs, Japan's Fukushima??, China,,??? WE'VE POISONED THE WHOLE BLOODY THING!! bless our collective hearts,

Thank you Free Documentary. This is the kind of show that people need to watch more often than those stupid tiktok and reels with millions of views. I feel bad that the dolphins have diseases inside and outside of their body as well as all the marine creatures because we humans are polluting their habitats with the worst pollutants such as chemicals. And it bounces back to us humans because we are consuming seafoods. I love the mangrove tree planting. I wish I could go to Florida to volunteer for the mangrove tree planting. I am from the Philippines and now living in Canada. In my country, we have some of the biggest and most amazing mangrove forests. I am a volunteer here at Toronto Tree Planting and Stewardship Events. For the last two years as a volunteer in tree planting here in Toronto Urban Forestry, I planted over 200 trees already. I am proud of our achievement in conserving nature. Let us all take care of our seas, mangroves, forests, and all-natural habitats around us. This is our world, this is our home. We must take care and preserve it at all costs, not only for us but for the next generations to come.

I am immediately subscribing to this channel. A nice surprise when a program suggestion from KZbin turns out to be of the highest quality. Worth saving this one to watch again and again.

When I was in the navy I was shocked when I seen all the garbage from a aircraft carrier with 4,500 men get thrown overboard in large plastic bags. That is a lot of garbage when you think of how many ships are traveling the ocean

That means US Navy is also negligence and couldn't careless about environment. So don't hope fishermen or local peoples of any country in this planet living near the sea will really take care of cleanliness of our sea n environment.

@@adnanbinabdullah9615 Pretty sure cruise ships did the same.Hopefully this has changed since the 90s when people actually thought the ocean was so big you couldn't really do any harm.

😕 it’s like “out of sight out of mind” because we don’t think about the creatures in the sea. We only care about us. I say “we” because we gotta change. We really do and I know there are so many doing good things to reverse awful habits. And i’ll never tire of saying every little bit helps and speak up when you see stuff like this happen. Nothing changes over night. Which is why we have to plug on. Thanks for sharing that btw thanks 🙏

Unfortunately with all of the countries who's main source of food is fish, I really doubt that that's going to happen. Unfortunately, with all of the countries that fish with huge ships, both legally & especially illegally until something drastically happening, like countries totally not being able to fish at all the chances of closing all of the seafood restaurants probably isn't very good. Not to mention all of the trash of all kinds that is being dumped into ALL waterways worldwide & the TOTAL OVERUSE of worldwide fertilizers, either for crops & because people think they absolutely have to have"pretty green yards"....ALL of which end up in & eventually pollute waterways & oceans.😢😠😢

That ship had assets enough topside to pay for its own gravesite or tombstone so to speak not to mention all the diesel (which can be reused or reformatted and doesnt go bad like gasoline) they certainly would have removed
