I recently had the displeasure of replacing the Air Filter in my 2004 Forest River Tsunami RV (400 Cummins Diesel). Unfortunately to get to it was the biggest problem. In this video I will explain further.

At least you have decent access to yours. I'm about to attempt this replacement on a 2011 Tiffin Allegro Breeze 32BR. It is located in the rear, to the right of the radiator and power steering fluid, tucked into the right corner, basically behind the lights. There is no room to remove it without having to start pulling other systems out.

Very interesting. I have a 2012 with 17K miles and looking at PMI items to do during the winter. Looking to replace the crankcase ventilation filter, oil, fuel, and other filters as I just bought her with no idea what the owner did or did not do. Good idea to change the belts as that is on my list too. No reason to have it break on the highway. Everything has a lifetime, and mileage is not the real or only indicator.

Well....I just got mine finished on my 2000 Winnebeggo Adventurer. Since I was replacing the batteries anyway, I did it with them out. Not bad. Disassemble through battery access , and slide out the back right along the exhaust. Not going to lie, and say it was easy. Filter cost $140.00 at my local auto parts store. They had one in stock.

Had ours replaced at Gafney S.C.( Freightliner Service center) 2 years ago, ours looks just like that one and was around 150.00(might have been less actually. I wish ours had that much access.

For next time get you a cheap 6-inch flat head screwdriver from wally word or horror freight and cut the bit off, then bend the driver 90 degrees with about a two-inch reach. You can use it to run around the hose to get in onto the can and cut it down to a 30-minute job start to stop.

Just came across your video. Next time you need an air filter look at Filter Barn. www.filterbarn.com/ Good job/hard job geting to it on your coach. Look around you should have a "filter minder" that gives some indication as to how bad the filter is plugged up. It might be in the back above the radiator. Additional free comment, in the video on changing the oil and fuel filters you showed some water in the bottom of the one filter. It is supposed to be there because it is a "water separator filter" You should drain that filter (see the valve on the bottom) periodically to remove the water. Have fun

That cummins isc 8.3 liter 350HP engine air filter should only cost about $180. That's what I paid for mine.

You know it's a bummer job when you need a buddy with 4' of 2 X 4 to get something on or off the engine. Thumbs down on the Freightliner gang- zero effort into maintenance engineering. Good job though- you won't have to do that again for a while.
