Changing the Climate control cable on a 97 Jeep Wrangler TJ. Part-2.

Now that I know how to move my blend door by hand, I noticed I don't get full on hot air.. either something is jammed in the door, or my heater core needs to be flushed out. I just got my TJ a couple weeks back, so I'm knocking out all the neglect items it came to me with.

I have the same problem, no heat.. Did you have any luck ???

@@toddbowne8168 Yeah, after letting the heater core soak overnight with CLR mixed 50:50 with water I flushed that out and then I ran that Prestone citric acid coolant flush stuff through there at a pretty concentrated mixture for a few hours. The end result was I gained about 20F worth of heat. It doesn't keep up when it's below 20F outside, but it's better. In the springtime I'm going to run the Prestone stuff with water in my cooling system for a couple of weeks worth of heat cycles. That stuff seems to clean out some of the gunk. I did end up making a bit of progress. I can drive around now without getting cold.

If you haven't already found it the part number is 55037398AA the only place I could find that could get it was a dealership and it was $20
