I just wanted to comment on the balls of that old man to run a table saw like that holding it down with his hands instead of using a wooden push tooling for and inch or less of play from the spinning blade.

I sit here as an old boat repair shop owner and custom furniture maker and I am just fascinated watching you and your merry band of shipwrights making the best parts for your boat with the crudest of tools. I love watching you and them figure things out and make magic happen. I am torn between wanting the project finished so you can start your new adventures and not wanting the building process to end. I guess it's sort of selfish but I so love watching the "team" working to fulfil your dreams. Thank you!

There are going to be lots of times you feel your plan needs adjustments. Part of the fun. I built an RV from a double axle bus. Man did I argue with myself. Hola MP, Hola Ben.

A lot of work going on in this episode, but it's looking great so far. The cut the carpenters made on the table saw is called a Rabbet cut. Sometimes they are used to make joints with a rabbet on both corner boards. That makes them a lot stronger than a simple butt-joint is because it offers more area for gluing and the two rabbet joints support each other so it's even stronger.

I'm wondering why you need to put hinges on those bench tops! Wouldn't it be easier and better to be able to just lift them on or off as desired? They're definitely not going to be going anywhere as they are! You certainly like your wild colour schemes down there... and so do I ! Have you thought about how you will paint Yaba? I have been speculating a bit about colours. What do you think about a black hull with lots of different colour accents? Then there's the sails to think about! They will have to be a colour of some kind: burnt orange with a black hull and accents? I'm sure that your shipwrights will have plenty of suggestions for colour schemes too! I think it's going to be a lot of fun for everyone! 🤩💖❤
